Great Stumptown coffee. Really nice people working here, never a non-smiling face to greet you. Of course, they are known for their pies, but they also have many other baked goods from homemade granola bars to scones and muffins. Wifi is free and there is usually room to post up for a bit. But, be sure to tip them if you plan on staying! Don't be rude :)

Can’t say that I am big into culinary, but I don’t think you must be one in order to appreciate the pie made here. It taste amazing and I took the whole last pie with me… I believe it sat everything! There were 2 that I tasted: The Honey and the green tea pie. The first was amazing, I mean really something special; the green tea pie was good, but I don’t think I will try it again.

The black bottom oat and some of their other more unique pies are very special. It's also worth trying their other pastries that they make. Only complaint would be the prices are very high.

You may think that this place is only good for their pies (or you may not, I don't know your life), but this is one of the few friendly coffeehouses that has bottomless coffee. Yes, that means free refills. And, if you order a savory pastry before you order a slice of salted honey pie, then you've had a full meal! Just tell yourself that, but only yourself, lest someone try to contradict you.

We came here for dessert and I was very excited to try some pie after seeing this place on the cooking channel. This place definitely lives up to the hype! We had the apple pie and although it is a very typical dessert, I am not exaggerating when I say it is the best apple pie I’ve ever tasted! The crust is what made it so great, it is almost like a croissant. I wish there was a Four and Twenty Blackbirds in Baltimore!

I ordered a Pumpkin Pie for my sons Birthday. After we sliced into the pie during his party and had served it to the children, we found out the pie was full of mold. After speaking to a baker, I found out that the pies that were not picked up during the holidays were stored and sold- sometimes weeks later in refrigerators with faulty circuits. This pie shop should be inspected for serious health violations.

My biggest complaint about Four & Twenty is that they always seem to be closed right when I crave pie. Although, come to think of it, that's probably the only thing preserving my pathetic waist size where it is for now, because if I could get this pie every time I craved it, the results would be astonishing.
This is what pie should taste like. I think they've singlehandedly introduced chess pie to the north, too, for which everyone should be eternally thankful. But seriously, whatever flavor chess pie they're serving that day, get it. Get it. ESPECIALLY get the buttermilk chess pie. Get it. I'm not kidding. Get it.response / report this review -

6/23/17 -picked up a Salted Caramel Apple pie, $40. Pricey, but worth it.
The location is cute and there are a number of seats and tables. It's a nice place to spend a mid-morning slice of pie

First, the pies are great; a little on the pricey side, but delicious. Seating is fairly generous with a couple of outdoor benches to relax on. Coffee, not so much, but it's OK, and it's nice to have with a slice of pie, and the savories are also alright. I might be picky about my meat snacks but I don't really expect a sausage pie to just be a sausage cut in half with some sauerkraut. The pastry was nice, but perhaps I just have a different opinion on what a sausage pie should be.
And, in yet another review, I digress. Overall, place is fine. Pie is nice. People are cool. Seating is ample. Plus it's a nice destination after getting my teeth cleaned/drilled at my dentist's office next door.response / report this review -

I have bought the Lemon Chess and Chocolate Chess pies. Absolutely Amazing! With each bite the high quality ingredients used in each pie comes through clearly on your taste buds. Pies like this might have been common many, many, years ago but you rarely see exceptional pastry, or anything else for that matter, made to such high standards nowadays like these treats. Even if you're not that into pie, you will be after savoring the buttery crusts and scrumptious fillings. Crafted with old fashioned care. You will be hooked after just one slice.

Excellent pies of traditional and seasonal varieties. The house made whipped cream is delicious, and goes well on the side of any of their selections. Worth a try!

Love Four & Twenty. They're oat pie is my favorite pie I've ever tried. Their pies are fantastic and everyone is extremely friendly. Next time you're in Brooklyn, or even in the Tri-State, head over to 4&20.

It's a dessert hot spot in Gowanus. I highly recommend picking up their cookbook along with a slice of pie, while you are there. It has been a Thanksgiving game-changer.
