Even fun for my 2 year old. My kids love history and the fort is beautifully redone.

Love this place. Copper Harbor has a great history to learn on your travels. As far north as you can drive in Michigan. Very scenic and well worth the trip. Great fishing, rock hounding, mountain biking, hiking, boating and mines to explore.

It is a very nice place to tent out. There not really that much privacy but you can block it with your vehicle. DO NOT BUY WOOD HERE it is all very wet. Bring your own wood. Biking is nice, your very close to the town, biking distance.

The Fort was a wonderful place to explore. We went on a day were they had historical actors walking around, which made the day even better. The Fort had wonderful displays of the past that we're filled with information. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Historic. Serene. Highly-recommended for lovers of the outdoors and those who may need an escape from modern life.
Since the age of 2-years-old I've been visiting Copper Harbor with my family, and although more and more folks have recognized how beautiful the area is and come in drives, the wonders of this area have yet to be diminished.response / report this review -

Quiet,beautiful, area on Lake Fannie but not a lot of privacy. Good for boating and walking. Okay for jogging and biking. Connected to historic Fort Wilkins. Walking path into back of the historical park. Ok bathrooms and showers. The showers heads are low for average sized person. Great water quality and hot water is always available.

Wonderful views and access to two very nice canoeing areas. The trail system is great but riddled with little kids. So if you're on a bike you can't go too fast fear of nailing one. In the history of both the fort and the copper mine is quite interesting.

Bring your bike! We decided not to bring ours and we really regretted it. We camped here for three nights in July 2016. We loved this campground so much. We wish we would have booked more nights. Each site is separated by some trees and shrubs. You can still see your neighbor a little bit, but there is a good amount of coverage for privacy. It was a fairly quiet campground even with kids running around and riding around on their bikes. Lake Fanny Hooe is amazing. The fort was really interesting. Our stay here was absolutely beautiful. Every night we would walk the short walk to lake superior and watch the beautiful sunset. We cannot wait to go back and spend a week there in July 2017. The only small complaint my wife had, is the amount of massive spiders in the showers, but its expected.

A nice little campground literally in the middle of nowhere! The facilities were clean and the campsites were clear of debris but still had foliage all around. Some of the sites are paved which makes it nice when you have nice things and don't want to get them dirty - just because you camp doesn't mean that you have to get your stuff all dirty! The campground is across from Lake Superior but you can still hear the awesomeness that is the waves crashing on shore. We came up at towards the end of the season and not much was going on. Make sure to have food and toiletries as there isn't a large store up here.
