Line up ~30 min early to hang out inside with everyone. Enjoy a few drinks at the bar when they let people in. Then ask nicely for a seat near the grill to study and become a better BBQer. Best to share everything.

Finally some fancy unique food in Madison! Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Love that they take reservations. It is pricey and calling something a large plate should correspond with the size not just the price in my opinion. However, we'll be back! I can't wait to try the brunch sometime.

You absolutely HAVE to try the fried mushrooms. I can’t stand mushrooms, but these are melt-in-your-mouth incredible. I actually ordered a soup of some kind that I didn’t totally love, but was with a group of people who said I was crazy. Service is by far the best.

Great spot. Loved the appetizer. Their cheese plate got us hooked to stay for a full meal AND dessert! Pan Seared Herring was perfect with the white bean pure.

Certainly one of the top restaurants (and cocktail locations) in Madison with a menu that changes frequently but is focused on locally sourced products. Leans toward French in its inspiration, but overall unique. For a delicious example, try the mushrooms. Always st least one fish, poultry, beef/lamb, and veggie option available. We often share small or medium plates and then have our own entrée. Also a great place to drop in for cocktails and a small plate to share at the start of your evening.

I've been here a few times now. It is general interesting and good food. Portions aren't all that big, but flavors are nice. I don't know if it is the very best value-for-money in the world, but I haven't had any real disapointments and I am usually happy to have gone - but, I also am not overly full and sometime grab a little snack later. So - if you have the right expectations, worth the trip.

Nicely composed New American, harmoniously combining a variety of influences. Dish format made it easy to share and try a variety of items, somewhere between small plates and family-style dining. Mushrooms and potatoes were particularly good.

The food really is incredible. I took off a star because Four Quarter is also part of Underground Butcher. All the meat used in the restaurant is Butchered by them they are the meat wizards So, when I order a charcuterie board, I don't want to listen to a long explanation of the meats to choose from. YOU'RE THE MEAT MASTERS, not me. Pick your cured meat offerings for the day and stick with that No need to intimidated your customers with fancy language. Other than that, really great experience!!!

Not super high end, however it is fancier. Dress nice but not full suit. The food here is wonderful! I went here with a good friend and got the lamb roast, it was truly wonderful! I would recommend this if you're looking for a fancier meal or even a date. The lighting is more like a pub, it's dimmer than I thought it would be, but it fits perfectly with the feel of the restaurant!

We frequent FQ a few times every month. It is without a doubt among the best few restaurants in Madison. FQ is on par with amazing restaurants we've visited in Chicago, NYC, etc you just don't see this often in cities the size of Madison.

Very friendly wait staff, helpful with selections of their offerings. Decent selection of food and drink. Food was flavorful and unique, and I was able to discern very specific use of spices. Clearly excellent and creative recipes. Protions were small compared to price, but completely in keeping with current trends in local brew pubs. So no surprise or disrespect there.
