It's just a rest area but with all the typical welcome to the state stuff you get. The extra is that during the day when the main part is open you can get some orange juice or grapefruit juice. I always have to stop and get my first taste of Florida when we drive down here. A rip is to go to the rear parking area as the front gets packed quite quick and is a madhouse to get out of.

Didn't get to explore the actual welcome center due to it being closed for Christmas Eve (it was also a Sunday late afternoon), but the grounds were pretty and pleasant, the restrooms were clean and in working order. (There were a couple of stalls closed off) the vending machines were compatible with credit and debit cards, which was nice. Parking was arranged well, and there were several picnic tables under covers.

One of the best welcome centers in the country. Florida really knows how to do a welcoming. They have various free juices, kiosks for the sun pass (prepaid toll payment), many pamphlets, various things to do, and it's just awesome. The staff are really friendly and are always there to help. It's just an amazing way to begin a Florida trip.

As rest areas go, Florida has good onesespecially the Welcome Center on I-75 Southbound. It's an attractive, safe place to stop and rest for awhile after the long drive through Georgia, with 24/7 security and maintenance, clean, modern bathrooms, considering it's not one of the newer facilities, and plenty of vending machines that take cash, coins, and plastic. During daytime hours (not sure of the hours), free maps and literature, by region, for just about every hotel, resort, park, beach, restaurant, museum, theme park, event, etc., across the entire State of Florida, well organized and open to peruse, along with friendly, knowledgeable staff to assist you with your Florida visit/vacation. Oh, and don't forget to get your free cup of fresh Florida orange juice!

It was nice to stop and get a glass of orange juice. The cool part about this place is all the pamphlets and maps are set up for the different areas. So I was easily able to pick out attractions and maps for my local area where we live since we are trying to stay closer to home.

Excellent visitors center. Well maintained and clean. Great people at the help desk. Lots of parking and very easy access to and from the freeway.

The Florida Welcome Center has always been an excellently maintained, very nice rest area / Welcome Center. And the fact that they set it up so nicely to help the influx of people coming in to the state after Hurricane Irma, only shows how much are State cares. Definitely a 5-star rating.

All rest areas in Florida are always kept pristine they always have the security person on site they're located so that you don't have to drive more than you know 30 to 50 miles in between each rest area. Florida and Georgia both have an exceptional set of rest areas there well-maintained and it's always easy to get in and out of them

What a welcome to the state! A huge building offering any information you could ever need about the state. They also offer fresh squeezed orange and grapefruit to everyone. Take pictures at many different locations in the beautifully landscaped gardens. Enjoy the songs of native birds. It's fabulous and I would 100% recommend a visit

Recent renovation. Lots of new plantings. Abundant parking. Dog walk.
There's even a safe space for those who like to take pictures in front of the 'Welcome to State' sign so you don't have to park on the shoulder of the interstate.response / report this review -

I really appreciate the welcome to Florida Sign so we could stop and get a picture. We arrived shortly after The Visitor Center closed so we weren't able to go inside. I didn't see any brochures or information about Florida outside of the visitor center which I would have liked you have had. It was very clean Visitor Center though

I've been through all 48 lowered states and Alaska. Florida has spent some money here There is tons of parking, the restrooms are also large and clean.. The landscaping and overall design of the space is truly awesome. Definitely should stop and take a walk around if you pass through.

If you're doing the tourist thing in Florida it's a great place to stop and rest. Plenty of tourism reading material. The restroom facilities are well taken care of and kept clean. Plenty of snack & soda vending machines. Enjoy the complimentary orange juice provided by the friendly staff.

Impossible to get in and out. The design of the parking lot sucks!! My husband had to drive over the curb only to realize we had to pass right back through the one way time warp in which we began! The bathrooms were pretty clean and there are 12 million free "maps" aka brochures for FL attractions. There is a cool Florida backdrop to take a group picture if you can stand being outside due to the overwhelming amount of tiny bugs!! They have a nice picnic area, but the bugs ruined that!!
