Decent hotel, but lacking in amenities. "Free breakfast" is just a shelf in the lobby with coffee and granola bars, "free wifi" is really a teaser of 0.5 Mbps to get you to pay for "faster" access of about 5 Mbps, and the TVs are small and cheap. For a long term stay facility, I'd expect more effort from management to make it more accommodating to long term guests.

One of the best extended stay hotels. This hotel Chain is designed for the traveler who is going to stay awhile. You do not get daily house keeping or a breakfast buffett. What you do get is a full size refrigerator and a stove top. One the better extended stays I have stayed at. The front staff is very accomadating. Gated parking good location.

I picked up a hotel guest to take her to a train station. The grounds were well maintained. Close to Newark Airport. Easy in and out.

Bugs! Floor smelled like smoke and weed! You must call to get the airport shuttle. While it's free, don't stand there watching the other shuttles come expecting the extended stay America shuttle to come. Call and stay on the line until they actually pick up!

OMG, where do I start? I was booked for 9/17 -9/18. I checked out within minutes! When we walked in the lobby it had a bad odor and smelled of cigarette smoke. People were walking around in slippers and one was carrying a laundry basket. The receptionist made an honest mistake. She programmed the key right but wrote the wrong number down for the room. I got to the room on my slip and couldn't and couldn't open door. I had to go back down. She programmed my key to door on slip but when I went back up it was already occupied. After 15 minutes and finally getting it connected we enter the room and it was something sticky on the floor that looked like blood or jelly, the air conditioner had some yellow sticky stuff on it. The bedspread was HORRIBLE. We knew we couldn't stay in this place. The towels had spots on them. We were scared to even sit on the bed. In addition, people live there with their pets. The ESA in Pleasant Hill, CA is NOTHING like this and because of this experience I have cancelled two other stays in different states.

Oh and don't be fooled by the free breakfast. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and United Airlines should be a shame of themselves to put people up in this place. I was there due to a one day layover.

Extended Stay, without a coffee maker in the room! There was a towel rolled up under the refrigerator door to keep the leaking to a minimum. Continental breakfast was supposed to be coffee, tea and basic food To coffee stations empty; only hot water and a few tea bags. The breakfast was a peanut butter granola bar. When they did finally get coffee made, they don't provide any natural dairy products for the coffee, all artificially favored creamers. Took a shower in ankle deep water, which took 10 minutes to drain afterward. You can do a lot better within blocks of this property.

First off, disgusting. The staff were not helpful at all. Booked a nonsmoking and we were given a smoking room. It smelt like death. Mold in the bathroom. Asked to be moved and were told they were booked up. Went across the street to Country Inns and Suits, super friendly staff there were able to get us a very clean nice room that day. Do not waste your time or money here.

Had to make an emergency trip to eliz nj and booked a last minute room at extended stay. Beds seemed to be 2 full size beds, but was comfortable. Pillows not firm but they were okay. Front desk staff that I was greeted by from the morning and afternoon shift were really friendly. I would stay here again. I stayed in a smoking room, although hall room smelled like smoke the actual room didn't.

This hotel is decent. I wasn't too sure about staying when I first saw the room but it was fine to stay in for a couple of days before leaving for our cruise. Like i said it's decent but there could definitely be improvements. It could be a bit cleaner and the bathroom could have been cleaner when we got there. Room service only comes in at the end of your stay if it is under 8 nights which whatever no big deal, but based on some other reviews I dont think some people knew this. The parking is gated and it is very close to the Newark Airport so there is some noise from the planes but it didn't bother me at all. You have a really good view of all of the planes taking off and landing though. This hotel is within walking distance to the The Mills at Jersey Gardens Outlet Mall which has several nice restaurants and there is also an IHOP and a Ruby Tuesday's right by the hotel. The pictures were taken at the end of our stay.

The only thing this place had going for it was the price. Living quarters were. Acceptable but not the cleanest. Staff was not friendly and seemed more interested in playing on their phones that answering questions. It took the shuttle 1.5 hours to pick myself and a buddy up from the airport despite the hotel being a mere 10 min drive away. Get an Uber don't rely on the shuttle. Also shuttle service doesn't start till 8 am so if you have a morning flight you're out of luck.

    This hotel is basic. True.
However - it's built for people who are looking to shop at the Jersey garden. Just like the other 4 hotels on the same street. But the others are all double the price, and for no reason except the same unique location right next to the giant mall.

It's not a hotel for any other purpose like a family vacation or a business trip.
So if you are looking to shop Jersey Gardens, you are already a price-value-aware person. In that case - you can stay at this hotel, as it's the only one which is fairly priced.
