Really nice apartment community. Designed and built as condo, makes these units a great family community.
I dont live here no more but i do occasionally go in unauthorized to play with the billiards
Nice pool
What Kathryn and Todd described are 100% true. Please be cautious.
More to come. I caution any one who lives here to take pictures of EVERYTING when you move out. The new management will steal your security deposit and go after you for a lot more money.. Too many animals and animals droppings in every bush shrub and strip of grass in the complex. (the smell is horrible) the entire place smells like urine.
Nice complex with an incredibly friendly staff. They really try hard making it feel like a community, definitely recommend.
Very well managed condominiums
This is NOT the Evening Creek you knew a year ago. The management has changed; the policies have changed; the upkeep has changed; the responsiveness has changed. What used to be one of the brightest stars in apartment living in San Diego is now among the worst.
As Daniel C on Yelp wrote, we were charged $750+ final move out. In my 9 previous (mostly luxury) apartment complexes in 3 countries I've never eclipsed $100. We are meticulously neat, I vacuum daily, I scrub counters and sinks and floors 3x/week, we don't wear shoes in the house and so on.
We were hit with a re-carpeting fee ($400). We documented the stain was there (though muted by their rug cleaning) at move in. Wasn't enough. I own only to not putting it in writing when I noticed it 2 weeks after moving in. The previous manager Travis had been there 7 years and was a laidback, sweetheart the corporate people at HG Fenton now and the new manager are running this like a tobacco company.
We were hit with a painting fee ($200), despite the fact we have on record they never painted when we moved in. (We said no need; we'll live with the scuffs).
I am hurt, disgusted by the way this was handled. I was almost in tears explaining that we did nothing wrong and how much we’d cared for this. I went from someone who would recommend highly this place to every HR manager, incoming professional I know to someone who will tell everyone looking for an apartment to run as far as you can.
I know former residents keep coming back on their SD deployments. I guarantee you – as someone who knows many of these residents – that this place is 180 degrees worse in almost every way than what you knew a year ago. PM me if you want recommendations on other complexes to consider.
Yes, there are some positives about the place (fairly quiet, safe area) but they don’t even begin to outweigh the way it’s run now. You can do way better, for the same price or even $200 cheaper.
My sink was plugged and within just a couple of hours maintenance came out and fixed it. I love this place.
