Came in for lunch. Menu was really small, lacking options of non typical (burger, wings) food. It took 30 minutes and the portions were small and ther was not anything special for a $12/dish place. The place is amazing just in front of the canal but will not come back for food
I have eaten breakfast there twice, and the blueberry pancakes were lukewarm, and too heavy, when they should be light and fluffy. The scrambled eggs are very good, but the red bliss potatoes were served lukewarm and the breakfast was never steaming hot, but cold to lukewarm. They need to concentrate on serving everything very hot in temperature. There is a need for improvement here. They have potential for greatness, as it is a beautiful place with a glorious view of the Erie Canal path with bicyclists and walkers passing by.
The food is pretty good but read the fine print if ordering room service. The server who brought the food up was very clear with me that the mysterious 18% 'administrative fee' was not a tip and that she didn't receive any of that money so I made sure to tip her which made an already pricy meal rather expensive. I then found the fine print which explained that the fee was there so the restaurant can pay the servers who bring the food a higher wage - basically it covers what people would normally tip. They really should be upfront with guests that the required fee is there to ensure the server is fairly compensated for their time and a gratuity is not expected, just something to add for really great service.
Nice Sunday brunch. Not a buffet, you order from the menu. Pretty view of the canal
Decent cocktails but a bit lacking overall and a bit too white bread for my taste
Amazing food..great location right on the canal. Butttt good thing i had a gift certificate..it is $$$$! This place is also very high end.. i wore jeans and sneakers and people were looking at me weird with their blazers and dresses!
The food was so-so. We went for brunch, and my omelet sounded delicious, but when arrived was so saturated in oil I couldn't even eat it. My family had better luck, but overall weren't too impressed. Perhaps the Spa is better than the restaurant.
Food is good, not great. I've heard the brunch is excellent. The Tuesday 50% off wine deal is amazing though. Well worth a visit. Nice location on the canal too.
Nice food and prices weren't too bad - everything from $9 to $40. My fiance and I are young adults and the server seemed to be hoping for people with more money - we just got dinner and one drink, not 3-4 drinks like those around us seemed to be ordering (I think we were there around happy hour). Nevertheless, polite and attentive waitstaff and good food with reasonable prices.
