I had a really bad experience the therapist kept asking what do I want from him and how can he help he wasn't listening to anything the whole situation was just weird and it literally ended in 30 minutes I do not recommend this place.

If this were only about the care I received, I would happily give 4 stars (only removing 1 star because both providers left within the two years I received care). However, where you receive your care encompasses both the care itself and the support and administrative tasks. I had multiple issues with insurance submissions and payments during the time I was receiving care at Ellie. The final straw for me was when I received a bill for $750 in 2022 for services I received in 2019. These were denied by my insurance due to a simple error in what insurance was listed as my primary at that time. I thought the issue had been resolved back in 2019 because I never heard another word from Ellie about it, but then I received the bill in 2022. This was outside the timeframe I could request it be resubmitted to my insurance, thus I was left with a bill for $700 more than I otherwise would have been responsible for. I am fortunate that I have the means to make this payment, however, I know many are not so fortunate and such an error could have significant financial implications for an individual. I inquired as to why I had not received notice in the intervening 3 years and received no response. I was made to feel this was my fault (since the original error was in fact my fault), but the fact I received no communication from Ellie about the denial for 3 years. These details are important in medical care, so despite good experiences with the care providers, I cannot recommend their business.

Unfortunately while I thought i was getting help - it was doing the opposite for me. This realization came to place when I could finally get in therapy at my regular doctors offices. I came to Ellie for a problem. It was in the heat of covid and I needed to talk to someone so I "took what I could get". The therapist didn't talk to me to get me to think - but was very opinionated how I should handle things. Even told me about their own personal situation and interestingly how they handled their life was the extreme opposite of how they told me I should be handling my life. My counselor was late to EVERY zoom call and in office meeting. There were times I didn't even get my zoom info till 5 minutes after the starting time AND i was the first appt of the day. It is called "plan the night before". Also one time I was 10 minutes away from getting to the office for a visit and I got a call that they couldn't make it. I finally quit and started to see a pastor who was 100% better than this "educated counselor". To top it off 9 months later I get a bill for $160 of co-pays in which my counselor had my CC # and was supposed to be charging them - but when I complained, found out they only charged some. When I asked about splitting the bill due to the bad service and therapy I received, I was told "NO" - in all truth I should have been asking for that whole $160 to be removed. Sorry but I would never recommend them based on this experience.

Sadly we had an absolutely negative experience with this company and the therapist they connected us with, Jill Salo. I tried for weeks to find my daughter a therapist and was super excited that I had finally got her an appointment with somebody. The first appointment went OK, but when it came time to set up another appointment we were unable to and completely dismissed. I was to set up an online account in order to schedule another appointment, I emailed both the therapist directly and the company in order to do this. It took over a week and a half to get an email back from the therapist and I never heard back from the company directly. We exchanged several emails over the span of two weeks. She said, “ I just realized you were talking about your daughters account! I was so confused! Ha….”. That was it. She also told me she was moving. Completely unprofessional. When you are in a position where patients are depending on you, you need to prioritize or have sufficient coverage for your practice. I sent her a final email stating that if we weren’t able to set up another appointment I was going to have to find another therapist for my daughter; I never got a response. I had to tell my daughter that we again had to search for a therapist. She was crushed, especially considering she opened up to her about personal matters in her life. I am appalled with this service.

The staff at Ellie are very genuine people. They care about your needs, are never judgmental, and are always there to assist when needed. They actually take the time to get to know you, and never cut a conversation short. Therapists are top notch, all the way down to the intake coordinators, medication assistants, and medication management. I highly recommend them.
