GOOD RIDDANCE! From the very 1st time I visited they had a 1920's era club mentally. When you walked into the clubhouse they saw you as wallet with legs. I still know of several courses that still cling to that practice. Well, to those who either own or manage a golf course--if that is the way you operate yours--this is your future.

My dad and a group of our friends have an annual outing where we go to Garland, Elk Ridge and Otsego every September. This year was my favorite yet. The course was in fantastic shape, the weather was beautiful and the folks at the clubhouse, the start and throughout the course were kind and helpful. Hopefully we can get back over there a few more times before the end of the year!

We were in town for Labor Day weekend. We were told they didn't have any tee times available the entire weekend Thursday through Monday. No offense to the courses quality(since I didn't have a chance to see it), but even the best golf courses in Michigan have at least a couple tee times available on a weekend. The parking lots were almost empty. Not a customer in sight getting ready to golf or leaving from golfing and they said they don't take tee time reservations after 2:00(seriously?!?!) I golf a lot and even worked at a golf club and know that labor day weekend is a slow weekend for golf courses. They also weren't very nice about telling us this information and even thought maybe they just told us that because we were in our street clothes when checking and we "didn't look the part", but we called later and were given the same response. I get that they want to enjoy their holiday weekend too but it doesn't seem like good business practices to me to turn down business that easily. We will be back to the area soon, but will leave the golf bags at home this time. Will not even attempt this course again. It must be a nice course for how difficult it is to get a tee time and for the prices they charge out in the boonies. They should probably turn it into a private club if that's how they want to handle customers.

One of my favorite courses to play. Worth the long trip from downstate..Every one is friendly,food is good and the course is in excellent shape.

The course is well maintained, has some scenic holes, and a few beautiful views. The overall quality and scenery of this course is worth the money. The course itself is difficult. Every hole has a dogleg and unless you're well skilled with the driver, leave it home. From 200 yards out into the green it's nice Good luck out of the tee box though!
