I had not been here for a meal since The Elevator took over this space. I was very impressed with what they have done. It is a beautiful old space with a throwback downtown feel. The food was very good, the service was excellent, and of course their beer is also very good.

Amazing old space, artisan beers and comfy food. The Rock Fillet is their signature offering. Chef brings family recipes and his own creations to the menu. Monthly beer selections are quite worthy but I prefer a staple, the Procrastinator Dopple Bock. "One sip and everything else can wait."
    Treat yourself.

Very comfortable hip restaurant with quite good food, friendly service and fair pricing for good product. The restaurant is also owned by a respectable craft brewery. Upon a referral, I tasted the Three Frog IPA. A very fine ale. I'll be returning for tasty food and excellent brew. Interior supports many fine art pieces.

Meat was okay for the surf and turf. Fun experience "cooking it myself" but I'd beware of the temperature of the stone going down. If you have a sensitive stomach, cook the seafood side by side with the meat. The oils also spray everywhere vs a japanese/Korean barbecue experience. I was only here after a work trip but not sure if I'll choose it again

We visited Elevator this weekend. Reservations were for 6:15pm. We were seated quickly, ordered beer and our food. Beer was great, and the place was beautiful. My husband ordered the crab cakes and I had the Oscar walleye. We did not receive our food until 7:10. When it arrived neither of our meals were hot. One piece of my fish was warmish, the other room temp at best. The crab cakes came with broccoli and wild rice.
The rice was great, but the broccoli was practically not cooked. It was so crunchy and not seasoned at all. We did not have time to send back any of the food as we were seeing a show at 8pm. Our bill was $68. We left feeling disappointed. I've never spent so much on such mediocre food. I would return again only to have appetizers and beer.

Long time local brewery. The food menu is varied an competent. It's a historic Tavern in downtown and is a gem worth visiting. I have a mad love for the beautiful bar.

The Beer selection is fine. Saurkraut Balls we're a good appetizer. The sauce had some kick to it. Good.
A wedge salad was a little on the small side, had had some brown pieces of lettuce in it.
Short Rib & Mac and cheese was short on the meat for the price $22. It had about $4 worth of meat, the rest was macaroni. However it did taste good.

What a surprise. Ordered Calamari. Sensational! Light crispy coating even with the slightly sweet and slightly spicy sauce. Salmon was also very good. Visit to Columbus a bit better with a great meal.

First of all, their house-brewed beer selection is varied, fresh, and dependably delicious. Their food has been phenomenal every time I've been in here. I just recently had the opportunity to have a full dinner here during restaurant week, and the calamari and beef tenderloin were fantastic. I could eat the calamari all day long.

Even beyond the food, the space itself is amazing---I love the big semi circular windows and mosaic tile on the way in, and the bar itself inside is done up in all sorts of beautiful detail with wood and marble. The place is deceptively small-looking from the street---it's actually pretty huge on the inside and has a great patio space set off from the sidewalk by a hedge and wall.

Food is fantastic. Atmosphere is nostalgic. Sam our waitress was very informed and enthusiastic. And the drinks ; well crafted and localized.

Salad was full of rotten, slimy pieces of lettuce and the mushrooms in my pasta dish tasted really old. The food quality here was terrible. On a positive note they took the salad off my bill and the service was friendly.

This was my first visit to The Elevator on March 11, although my date had been there prior. The ambiance is eclectic with rustic tin paneled ceilings, stained glass windows from churches and some really neat antique woodwork. My date and I arrived at 6:00 and when we left over two hours later, I don' recall seeing an empty table the entire time. Our server, Kayla, was amazing. She was friendly and attentive, we asked for a recommendation for wine, and her choice was excellent. Kayla's knowledge of the menu and the preparation of the various dishes was such that it made choosing our meals a bit challenging. In the end, our choices were perfection. Overall, this dining experience was one of the best I've had in Columbus, and Andrea, as it was her birthday, felt the restaurant choice and dinner could not have been better. We will definitely be coming back.

The experience at this establishment was far from impressive. Upon entering the establishment my business colleagues and I waited five minutes to be greeted, this was found to be because the person who was in charge of that job was sitting at the end of the bar conversing with the bar tender. We were seated and ordered our drinks and two appetizers. The appetizers took FOREVER to come out and when they did they were not even warm! I would guess this is because the waiter who was sitting at the end of the bar upon our entry of the establishment let them set in the window too long. Anyone who has ever had calamari know that it needs to be served HOT to be appetizing, as do nachos that include charizo. I had the house cut rib-eye steak which is a 33.00$ dish at this establishment and specified I wanted my steak to be cold in the middle and it was not. Overall I cannot believe this restaurant is considered to be an upscale dining experience ESPECIALLY FOR THE PRICE but also the poor service. Someone should really have a conversation with the employees who were here today between 4-7 p.m. because they were not creating an experience it seems like this establishment strives for.

We dined with Elevator for Restaurant Week. I ordered from the special menu (1 appetizer, 1 entree, & dessert for a set price). Our waitress was amazing, covering details that weren't on the menu & was extremely attentive even when it started getting much busier. I ordered the calamari (spicy sauce paired wonderfully with the crispiness), Beef Tenderloin Medallions (delicious and the sides were amazing as well), and Bread Pudding (probably the best take on this dessert that I have ever had). We will definitely dine with Elevator again.
