What a lovely tribute to the life of Eleanor Roosevelt. Such wonderful history and knowledgeable staff maintaining the facility.
Important historically for the beginning of human rights at the United Nations and the USA. Eleanor Roosevelt, even in death, inspires and empowers all, especially women, to be leaders in their society and serve the common good.
Nice little place where an amazing woman lived. I personally like self guided tours better though.
We stopped here before going on to see the FDR library and grounds. Beautiful place to visit. We saw several people out just enjoying the trails on the property. Friendly, knowledgeable rangers and staff. Would love to return.
Very interesting. The guide is very knowledgeable about Eleanor. You will learn so much about this brilliant & fascinating woman
She was way ahead of her time.
Excellent tour by experienced national parks guides! We tied visit with a stop at the Culinary Institute of America for lunch that made the 1+ hour drive worthwhile. Otherwise, include a visit to the Vanderbilt mansion just down the street.
An incredible experience. I have been here four times and will go back again and again and again! Never the same story. Go during the different times of the year to see the landscape's changing of the seasons. It is so breath-takingly beautiful and peaceful. There are some repeats of the interpretation on the tour, but I welcome them. However each Ranger has their own personal narrative of Eleanor, this is why each tour is different from the next. Rangers research her and uncover new things all the time. Love this place. I am a tour operator and send people here all the time.
Guide was interesting. Learned a lot about Eleanor. Also videos and home movies.
If you're in that area, it's definitely worth a visit and tour. She was an amazing person who led an extraordinary life.
It is very beautiful and nice walk at Eleanor's walk Loop! ✌😎
Gorgeous property, informative tour, very historic. Well worth a visit on a beautiful day.
Very friendly staff. Junior ranger program is great. The views are stunning. Very peaceful and filled with history. Great NPS site for an afternoon of taking in history and nature.
