Lovely "Bedford Falls" type town - the Inn is on the main Street. Nice in the winter; there's a cozy real wood burning fireplace in the lobby waiting area. Food at the Inn is excellent and it's walking distance to many boutique shops and restaurants.

The Beekman Arms had been a special place for my husband and me. We hadn't been back in 15 years and were so looking forward to it. Unfortunately it now is showing its age. On the outside it still looks lovely and charming but there were a variety of disappointments on the inside. The Tavern food was delicious but the bathroom had no hot water. Our rooms (Courtyard) were tired looking. The refrigerator smelled, the curtains needed attention and the ceiling had a cheap patching job. The comforter wasn't anything special and the tissues were like sandpaper. The complimentary sherry was a nice idea (if you like it) but 2 water bottles would have been more appreciated. The is no ventilation in the bathroom and the fireplace goes off too quickly. We missed being able to make a real fire. There was even a stain on the mantel from a coffee cup. We had brought along some friends to share our long awaited return and were

Delicious birthday lunch with dear friends. Great beer and wine selection. Key lime pie is delicious. Service is impeccable.

Great food , great drinks. I prefer the tap room feels cozy and old timey like you are sitting in a barrel. Yummy appetizers and food. A tad pricey but about average.

The hotel was nice. The people were friendly and service was good. The room was small and so was the bathroom. However, it was very clean and super convenient because it's right in the center of town. It's only 5 minutes away from the train station and the water.

I've enjoyed my trips to the Beekman Arms for many years. Unfortunately this most recent visit was certainly not at the same level as past visits. Brought my elderly parents there for lunch. Made a reservation for a table in the Greenhouse, hoping to make it easier for my parents. Was I surprised when we were seated as far from the Greenhouse as possible. Trouble with our drink order twice from the outset. Was caught in a dispute between the waitress and bartender over how to make a gimlet, then it took 15 more minutes to receive my father's martini. Hope this is an aberration.

About the restaurant only.
Love the Waiters, service is great!
As a local, I always liked to go there for the bar and the terrace but not anymore.
Was much, much better under the old management.
Now you got squeezed portions, cold food and everything is higher-priced.
Also, don't waste your time trying to talk with the new restaurant manager
My recommendation is to have a drink at the Beekman, enjoy the ambiance of this 1700's Inn, but eat dinner somewhere, maybe anywhere else.response / report this review -

Beekman Arms is located in the village of Rhinebeck, NY. It is a charming historic restaurant and Inn. I've never stayed at the Inn but have heard good things about it. I frequent the restaurant about once a month. The atmosphere is casual with four different dining areas to choose from; outdoor seating, Greenhouse, Main restaurant and Bar area. The menu has a large variety to choose from and prices are reasonable. They have soups, salads, lamb, pork, steak, burgers and pasta dishes. My last visit I had the roasted pear salad and New York strip steak it was all delicious as usual.

Visited The Beekman arms after a family function. There were about 14 of us, having lunch and drinks. The servers were friendly fast and experienced. Food was delicious and prices reasonable when in the area will visit again.

Beautiful inn and tavern in continuous operation since 1766 so much happened here and so many famous have slept here including George Washington truly that you just feel the history and entire town is charming and well worth a visit I loved it we had lunch at the Beekman

The most historical restaurant in our area. When you walk in it is like experiencing a moment of the past. Food is always stellar. We held our sons and daughter in laws wedding rehearsal dinner here for 24 people, had our own separate dining room, and it could have not been any more perfect. We dine here frequently.

Restaurant here is great, seating in the street facing glass room is nice, and the food is good. A friend recommended the Beekman arms for lunch two years ago, and I go a few times a year. Never crowded, but consistently satisfying.
