My visit was extremely splendid. You have to order the Peking duck beforehand or it will take a very long time to prepare it. Their sushi and other dishes were also amazing.
Excellent choice of shanghainese food in great neck, better than most of the shanghainese restaurants in flushing.
The foods were very mediocre quality and small portion for the expensive price. Service was alright.
eating at elaine's has always been a fine experiencei typically order the salmon-festival.a sushi/sashimi dishand eating it at home last night with my familywell..it was just as outstanding..HOWEVER.the caveat was ordering it from the restaurant old-school style to be deliveredand it took well over 1 hour !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..very very very very weak indeed !!!!!!!!!..although we seemed to be compensated with a free salmon rolland perhaps a % of the tab reduced as well.still, waiting on the order was PAINFUL.just a heads up to the ORDERING FOR DELIVERY community !!!!!!
There is a new owner there, and they no longer have a liquor license. They also didn't have many of the items that I requested on the food menu which they once used to have. They never mentioned this huge change on the phone when I made a reservation, and I was so disappointed when I got there. Will not return. This is unfortunate because it was one of my favorite places.
Expect ~$12 dishes. Their specialty duck is $60+, and comes with wraps, sauce, cut cucumber, cut onion, & they make a soup out of the bones after cutting it for you. Was ok overall. Got 2 appetizers, one family style plate of veggies, and the specialty duck for a total bill of ~$105. Pretty pricy but ok if you're rolling in cash
Always enjoy my time eating here, food and service is great
Good peking duck. You have to order ahead.
comfort, that is all.food ! wellyou can find many places that is better than this one.
Great sashimi and rolls. Try the yummy roll. Also, worth mentioning is the mayonnaise shrimp and the general tso's chicken. The chicken was especially tender.
