For the price, this place is hard to beat. You can look out your window on Lake Superior, the staff is super friendly, and everything interesting in Marquette is very close. I like that it is just on the edge of town. Our room was clean and there was little noise. This is a great budget hotel.

Friendly and inexpensive. Lots of rooms facing Lake Superior. You do have to walk outside to get to ice/vending machines depending on which room you get, but they are drive up rooms which is nice.

Our room was large, clean and comfortable. Comfortable beds and pillows. Friendly, helpful staff. Great breakfast!! Going back for sure!!!

Very convenient location. Outstanding breakfast. Older facility owned by a lady that is very attentive to your stay helpful with suggestions touring the area. Picture of sunrise from our unit during our Fall visit to see the autumn colors.

I am giving 2 stars for customer service and a discount of the very large price for this not so fancy and outdated hotel. There was mold in my room on the windows due to leaking pipe that was previously taken care below the hotel. The bathroom fan didn't work and the room smelled from the mold. There was no other rooms available in Marquette that day and the nearest available hotel would of probably been Munising. I wasn't up for driving to another place. The staff was friendly and concerned. However this issue should of been dealt with before I stayed. I am disappointed and definitely won't stay here again. Mold is serious and should be taken care of right away. Additionally, mold needs darkness and water to grow but always remember to get to the root cause of the problem!

We stayed one night at the Econolodge and it wasn’t enough! The staff was friendly, the room was comfortable and the view was amazing! We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again on our next visit.

Very friendly, helpful staff, and it was great seeing the Big Lake across the street. Room was pretty clean, beds were comfortable, ac/heater worked great, shower was very clean, and the fridge was handy. It was quiet at night, in spite of its proximity to the highway, and I did not hear other guests or housekeeping at all. The one small issue I encountered was handled well enough. I would stay here again.

We stayed at this very reasonably-priced hotel in late June of 2017. I almost cancelled the reservation because I feared that, due to the low price of the room, it would be rundown or cheap, but I was very pleasantly surprised. The rooms were clean and spacious, the staff was charming and helpful, and the breakfast was quite tasty. Right when we came in, the girl at the front desk took out a map and told us about local hiking spots and restaurants, all of which turned out to be great places to visit. I won't hesatate to stay here again when I go back to Marquette - and I will. It's a very lovely town!

It was wonderful! Mom and I thought we had a reservation at a different hotel but after making many phone calls we didn't have one anywhere. The owner Trista made us book two nights here because she was the most sincere person we talked to on the phone out of all other hotels! She made us feel like family with frequent check ups and knew us by name and face within the day! She even gave us her personal phone number for when I am at college at NMU in case I needed anything. Room was great! I cannot complain! Thanks Econo Lodge, Trista, and her awesome staff!

This will be my go to place to stay at from here on out. The front desk woman, possibly the owner, went above and beyond. I had called in about an hour out to check for vacancy and to book my room. I had requested a room with a view and was provided a balcony room. I had also told her that I had a toddler with me and she left a coloring book and crayons along with a couple of snacks in the room which were wonderful to have when we arrived! Since we had also arrived so late in the night/early in the morning we were also allowed to sleep in and check out a little after the check out time which was very nice as well. 😄

Great stay! I made the reservation with a phone call & they were informative and friendly. When we arrived late evening, I was welcomed with the fragrance of freshly baked Cinnamon rolls- not a fake smell or overpowering, just homey (well better than home because I don't bake usually). Friendly check in staff. Nice room, cute towel arrangement, quality towels, bedding, etc. Pillows were luxurious so slept great. We're buying there pillows at check out! Breakfast bufefet had sausage, scrambled eggs, waffles, bakery, hot/cold cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, juices, milk, coffee, etc. All included. Did I mention the beautiful sunrise lake view from the window laying in bed? We will visit here again. Plus the best price in town.
