Great atmosphere and view. The food is great as well. Highly recommended for breakfast as I 've been many times and always had a great meal and service. Have not tried anything over the years other than breakfast foods.

We had a great breakfast here!
They are famous for their pancakes but we had ham and eggs and sausage and eggs. The ham steak is a real ham steak and the sausage patty was big and delicious!

Great food, great view. The seating is a bit heavy on the plastic chairs and the nearby bathhouse bathrooms are gross. That being said I love eating there.

Food is pretty good, nothing incredible. The pancakes, though, are absolutely on point. The view is fabulous. Service is weak.

Been going for 40 years. Had that rare local feel. It's pricey for breakfast$12, coffee too. But not bag considering the view. It's one of one 2-3 places in SB where you sit right on the beach. Packed after 9 on nice Saturdays, but usually very few at other times.

SAD NEWS!!! As of December 31 2017, the place will be closed for at least two years! They say for remodeling but apparently whoever controls/owns the location wants to turn it into an "upscale restaurant!". Santa Barbara does NOT need another upscale restaurant!!! It needs this place that had been a local Hangout and serendipitous discover for the lucky tourist. The amazing people who run this place will not be running it. They say the new lease is way above what they pay now.

I’ve only been here for breakfast and the food is pretty good. The prices are a bit high, but the portions are huge. Plus the location by the beach and ocean view can’t be beat. For a counter serve casual spot, the service is good and friendly. This is a convenient breakfast spot while staying at one of the hotels on East Beach.

Right on the beach. Outdoor dog friendly seating. Pricy but to be expected for location. Very good breakfast. Huevos Rancheros & Santa Barbara omelette 👍🏻

It's unfortunate to have one of the best views yet the place here is mediocre. Food is whatever, so if you come here and enjoy the beach, it's best to buy food from elsewhere and bring it here.
Ordered Tri-tip salad $9.75 and it was not worth it at all. Lettuce + meat. But the fish and chips are not bad. So I would recommend to order fish and chips if you had to eat here!

This is such a fun place to go for breakfast. All of the seating is outdoors, some is under an awning so if it's raining it's not the end of the world, but it is right up on the beach. It's a great place to sit and enjoy your morning meal while people watching and enjoying the view!
Just a heads up you walk in, order your food and sit down. No problems with speed of delivery or service, everyone was very nice.response / report this review -

Not bad for on the beach. If you're spending the day on the beach you can avoid leaving for food but you'll pay high prices. $5 for a large fries and $10-$12 for sandwiches and burgers. And they aren't fancy. They're ok as far as taste, but not much better than fast food. The convenience is what you are paying for. Patio tables and typical beach style seating and fare. There's alcohol and coffee (see photos). No gluten free breads or special menus and don't expect a lettuce wrap, they shred it all. See photos for menu items and pricing.
