Quite possibly the worst customer service experience, besides AT&T, that I have ever experienced. Debbie Easley's exchange with me just now would have Bert rolling over in his grave
Long story short, they said they had a mask on their web site. Come to find out this AM when they called me, they didn't have the mask. They did however have the mask as part of a full costume They would not A) pull the mask out of the full costume nor B) Sell me the full costume at a "meet me halfway of the difference" price
I run a business as well. If I advertise a 5 piece band and for whatever reason one of those members is a no show, I have to reduce the fee I was charging for the band. Simple Good customer service. Working with the client and offering that up will go a long way in keeping that customer happy and more likely to continue doing business with me even though I messed up and didn't deliver what I said I would
Debbie isn't smart enough to figure this outJust because you are the only game in town doesn't mean it is okay to have this terrible of customer service. I will plan better and get any costumes or items like that on Amazon
I have been frequenting Easly's Fun Shop, since I was 16 yrs old; now 63 yrs. I have ALWAYS had the best experiences! Last week I called the shop & asked them 2 help give my grandchildren the "magician experience" @ their store. I have been teaching the girls magic, this last year & we needed some new magic tricks. We put on our magic hats, brought our magician cards (I made them) & practiced the magicians oath, on the long drive. I had prepared a letter & a magic card for Angel, who works the magic supply area. The lttr informed him of what he should do & say 2 the girls. First, he asked 2 see their MAA (Magicians Association of America) cards. They didn't know what the MAA card was, so he showed them his card. The girls recognized the card & excitedly showed him their's! He then told them, b4 they could shop in the magic area, they must recite the magician's oath. Of course, they recited the oath perfectly! From that moment on, it just got better & better!!
3 generations of Easley women, along w/Angel, helped the girls w/selecting items in their skill level & teaching them how 2 do the tricks. The girls were mesmerized & sooo happy! They then gave them candy & little toys. Since the girls didn't have long magic capes, they gave the girls vampire capes, which were perfect! What store goes out of their way & gives this kind of customer service?! Easley's Fun Shop, DOES!!! Thank you for making my granddaughter's, "magician experience" so very magical!!!
Easley's has lost my business when on Wednesday, Oct. 19th, the private security guards they hired to patrol the parking lot verbally and physically prevented me from leaving the parking lot as I attempted to make a legal right hand turn onto east bound McDowell. I was yelled at, and the security guard stood in front of my car, forcing me to back up to the alleyway behind the store, where another security guard physically forced me to turn right, westbound to 7th Ave - the opposite direction I needed to go. I will never shop there again.
So beyond disappointed and disgusted with the customer service here. I've always heard nothing but great things about Easley's but never get the chance to go here during the Halloween season. Today I finally get the chance to stop in and it was a terrible experience. At first we were greeted warmly by a young girl with blue hair and helped by a girl named Maria. We each grabbed 5 costumes to try on making that 10 total. We were happy with the costumes we picked and were impressed with the selection but weren't looking to buy right this second, I mean costumes are expensive you need to be sure and happy with what you buy. When we come out of the dressing rooms we begin looking for more costumes when an lady, older, and whom I believe is the owner which makes this worse. comes and says "hi ladies are we just looking or buying today?" Being that we weren't very sure we said just looking, she then replies with "we'll you've already tried on about 6 costumes yeah? Well you're done no more trying on if you're not making a purchase" in the rudest tone but finishes with "feel free to keep looking" like are you kidding me this is how you expect someone to make a purchase?! I don't think so how freakin rude. We immediately left disgusted by her poor customer service manners. We will most likely never return and be sure to tell our friends and family to keep the word of mouth going.
Thank you so much for the amazing customer service! Waited until the last minute to get a costume for an event tomorrow. Everyone was absolutely amazing- they had me in and out of 10 costumes, found something absolutely perfect, paid and out the door in an hour! Highly recommend them!
Great Costume Shop the staff is friendly and helpful with ideas for any event you might have go to or have ..plus you can try on stuff before you buy.. something you can't do thru Amazon ..
We had a good time there. People were fantastic. Bought somethings.. the magician was gr8t looking forward to trying 2nd one. the best thing is my son had such a great time he came hmm talking about it and went to school telling what he did Thank you guys everyone of u ,for making our sunday
They are so awesome here every year! Super friendly and they have everything you need for your festivities year round. Brought my dogs in this year and they were so good with them and helping me find their outfits. Love you guy's!
Such a great place to shop. The customer service is outstanding every time I stop by. They are a role model for other businesses to follow. Your staff is wonderful and always has an answer to every question.
I remember shopping at the Fun Shop on my way home from school in the 5th grade. Close to Kenilworth we could buy snapping packs of gum, fake vomit and candy cigarettes on the way home. Loved the magic tricks too. My kids loved Easley's around Halloween with always scarey displays then for the costumes. I loved it when the family made it their home as well. My grandchildren will be the 3rd generation to find what they love in this Phoenix landmark! Here's to many more!
my husband and my two children and I went in here last Saturday and fell in love not only with the store but what the staff that make you feel so welcome and they were very helpful they made you feel like family and you're right at home my favorite store hands down 1000 % customer service
Easley's Fun Shop is a great place to buy costumes. The staff is polite and attentive. They will go out of their way to help you find the outfit that is just what you are looking for. Case in point: today my wife and daughter and I went there. Debbie Easley personally assisted our daughter in getting her Anna outfit. Lucy couldn't be happier. Thanks again Easley's!
We love Easley's!!! No matter what your costume needs are at any time of year they are the best!!! They are not just for Halloween!! Friendly staff, great prices & good location!!
Went there today to get my disabled daughter a costume, the staff found it instantly, then Debbie Easley helped finish the shopping trip. The staff there is just so kind and courteous. I have been going there for 30+ years and have never been disappointed. Today was an icing on the cake day.
Twice I tried to order something online from them and, due to a glitch on the website, I was unable to complete my order. I called and left a message and received no response. A second call was made and the gentleman answering the phone was extremely rude. From what I've heard from several of my magic friends, the customer service has gradually declined.
Easley's has been a part of my life for YEARS! Getting costumes for Halloween for me, my Mom, my niece, etc. Always the sweetest people. It's so sad to see the shop closing. May you enjoy being with each other. 💙
Have always loved this place and is a point of pride in Phoenix for me to share with friends.
No fun to be had here, just poor customer service and misleading information. I called ahead of time before driving down there to get info and pricing about renting a costume for my sons birthday party. The lady on the phone told me it wld be $30-$35 for a 3 day rental, I told her I was on their website and it showed $80-$85, she said no that’s not for our rental, and confirmed AGAIN it was $30-$35. So I drove an hour down there and when I went to check out guess how much they wanted to charge me?! $85!!! I explained what had happened and she brought out the owner so I explained again what I was told and asked if they wld honor the pricing that I was already told and drove all the way down there. No, she wouldn’t do anything. Basically it’s a waste of time to call ahead, Maybe if you get the sales person first, last name, dob the owner wld believe you and do something to honor the misleading info you were given. Very disappointing.
Fun place to shop, great service-- a lot to choose from! The prices were great! About 8 to 10 percent less than Party City!!!
Great place great prices helpful staff. It's been my go to place for the last 25+ yrs they're not just for Halloween ya know!
