From October 2016 to October 2017 leased a one bedroom. Apartment was very nice, clean, ROACH FREE, unlike some apartments in the Dunwoody, sandy springs area. The community was semi quiet, cozy and cute. There are a lot of dogs and pet owners. So if you are not big on dogs then you might not like this community. The leasing staff are generally nice and I must say very informative with emails which were nice. The pool area is nice. The gym is decent. The parking is nice. My only complaint is at the end of my lease my rent increased $150 for renewal. That was an issue for me. However, the new leasee is paying $400 more than me so after all probably should have stayed. Lol.
Very friendly staff! The grounds are well kept and the the tenants are so nice and helpful. I love how every square footage of space has a purpose. The extra storage closet on the patios are awesome and saves money from having to rent a unit. The staff makes you feel like you're important and not just another sales quota. The maintenance staff answers calls within 24 hours or less which is unheard in my past experiences. Would definitely recommend living here whether you're a single woman or a family!
Great place to lives. Professional service by management team. I've lived here for 5 1/2 years with no issues. Good amenities and pet friendly. Great location 15mins from downtown Atlanta.
Overall I've really liked living here over the past year. No bugs, responsive maintenance team, no neighbor noise, etc. It's been a great experience. I do wish they would do more resident events, but I know they're working on that. Leasing office also has a couple of bad apples (a couple leasing office folks are great, though, and I'm grateful for them). Unfortunately, they raised my rent $100/month and I simply cannot afford that, so I'll have to move.
I have lived here for the past year and if it weren't for me relocating to another state for school I would be renewing my lease! I have nothing but pleasant things to say about this community.
Starting with the staff. I have never been so satisfied with a complex staff from leasing office members to maintenance. Everyone is so friendly and attentive. When I go into the office for a package they know my apartment number (now IDK if that is just because I order to much stuff or they are just awesome but you get my drift!) maintenance has always been able to solve any issue I've have within a day or two and they just seem to genuinely enjoy working there which brings such a positive vibe to the place!
Its pretty clean and well kept! The whole year I've lived in my place I've seen maybe 3 or 4 bugs which is pretty amazing when it comes to Georgia! There are a lot of pets in this community but I have never ran into an issue of people not cleaning up after them!
They tend to do random fun things for the residents a lot like movie nights at the pool, food trucks, and breakfast!! Its a GATED community with a gate the actually works!!! Last but not least the location is perfect!!
Sad to go!! Thanks Guys!!
Dunwoody Gables was my home for three years! Not only was the location extremely convenient, but the staff is unbelievable! I love the friendly faces in the leasing office, and the maintence team is ALWAYS on top of any issues you may have. I can't say enough great things about this complex. Thank you for such an amazing time in Atlanta :)
Everyone is so friendly and professional! My apartment is brand new and lovely! I couldn't be happier with my selection. I will be living here for years to come!
Not a current resident but had a visit to the place few days back. It's much better compared to any apartments near by. The rating in google reflects that. See James in the front desk he is very friendly, polite and helpful.
I've been a resident for over two years and I'm very pleased with the Gables Dunwoody community. It's quiet, clean, and conveniently located to 285. James, Trent, and the rest of the management staff are AWESOME and I would definitely recommend this complex!
Toured the property today with Trent. Great customer service and he was very knowledgeable. The property is nicely updated and the rent rates are reasonable. They are at the top of my list!.
I had an enjoyable experience touring the Gables Dunwoody property. James was accommodating and thorough. He did a wonderful job walking me through my options and making a selection was a breeze. I highly recommend James and the Gables Dunwoody team!
First of all I would like to state that I am NOT a resident so my review will not be about the conditions of living at the apartment complex. However, as someone who visited recently as a prospective resident I will, in fact, relay my experience with the front office tour and will hopefully provide a little insight into what other fellow apartment seekers may need to be weary of if you are planning on becoming a resident here.
Out of respect for individuals involved, I will not be using names. If management would like to leave me a number to inquire about specific people, they may do so and I will respond.
First, there is a clear lack of communication and professionalism in the leasing building. I've already experienced too many examples of this with apartments in my home state which is why in my apartment search, that is my first indicator of my decision in choosing an apartment: how management and staff interact with you and how they present information.
When we arrived, the leasing agent was on the phone. No worries to that. I am very patient if someone is handling business transactions. What bothered me, however, was the lack of a proper introduction AFTER the individual was done. May seem minor, but a good introduction and follow-up goes a very long way for someone who has traveled with his parents from over two hours away. After a not-so-warming introduction comes the very much hurried up borderline "I really don't want to be bothered with you" attitude. Not a great start if your main job is to get people to sign with your apartment.
It proceeded to get bumpier with the ID policy. To explain, other apartments in the area (and literally next door) only require one ID from someone touring the apartment. My parents came with me to assist in the apartment search and I really value their input. My dad and I had ours; my mom did not. It is NOT the policy that bothered me, I truly understand why they have it since the apartment must have some major security issues to warrant such a policy to begin with. It is HOW they handled the situation that was the most unprofessional tour I have EVER been on. They immediately told my mom that she was not allowed to participate on the tour (even almost side stepping my dad even though he had his ID and proceeded to try hurry me along with doing the tour).
I politely asked if we could speak to a manager since we were told it was company policy and just wanted to see if we could get permission from the manager. Not only did he not bother to ask a manager, but the manager was within earshot, with her door open, and could hear everything going on yet waited till the last minute to finally get involved. She was not professional nor tactful as she was hostile in her approach. Again, lack of communication (remember future tenants if you have any problems with your apartment these are the people you will have to speak to) since she claimed to have heard the situation the entire time and proceeded to become very confrontational. I also forgot to mention that she, at any point, could have helped out while her employee was clearly on the phone while we were having to wait. That shows lack of initiative and care on her behalf. There was also another individual there who showed no desire to simply ask if we needed help.
Nonetheless, it was a bad experience. I did the tour and all that I gathered from that is this apartment complex is not genuine. At all. They are not going to give you clear cut answers, they don't care about your concerns. You are a quota, and they hope to fool you into signing without any further questions. By the way, it is a very VERY old apartment complex from the unit I saw. Old appliances, odor, pool is under construction, not a great fitness room, pretty much the whole nine yards.
Dunwoody Gables, you have a lot that your going to need to clean up or correct personnel wise if you are going to be just an okay apartment. All it took from the start was a little friendliness and common sense. Future apartment seekers, I hope this review helped.
I love the Dunwoody Gables community! It's gated, it's quiet, and it's beautiful. I enjoy living in my apartment because it's spacious and I like that my floors resembles hardwood floor. The living room gets a lot of natural lighting from the balcony. The best part about living in Dunwoody Gables is the valet trash service. All you have to do is leave your trash outside of your door, and they will be picked up without you having to walk/drive to the dumpster!
