My husband has been trying for over a week to set an appointment to get his drivers license renewed. He went to the Dirksen facility but was told he had to make an appointment. When he goes online it is saying the only available locations he can go to are in the Chicago area. It seems a bit difficult to get this simple task completed.

Went to pick up sticker for license plate renewal on 1/11/22 closed due to covid. back surgery on 1/25/22. .. able to drive as of 2/11/22 went to drive up facility on Stephenson drive and was charged $20.. Late feewas told I should have gotten renewal earlier I tried but they were not working don't think the surgeon would pick up the sticker what a racket thanks Jesse

The best DMV experience. Arrived at 10:00 a.m. and the place was packed. I was out in under an hour. Jennifer was the associate that helped me. She was GREAT. She is friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and has a big smile. Everyone there was helpful and courteous.

Secretary of state was the one thing Illinois could still do right and now they've messed it up to renew your license the armed guard at the door just tells you to go have a seat on those benches over there. No rhyme or reason to it no order to it then 20 minutes later someone comes out takes the next person off the first bench everyone that just sat down realized that there's an order they're supposed to be in. I waited for 45 minutes and they took two people in so I left.
