Dr. Drake and her staff are always so friendly and very easy to work with. The office is very nice and easy to find on Veterans Pkwy. I've only been coming here for 2 years, but I plan on being a long time customer!

The staff were amazing and friendly! It was our first time there as a family. The place was clean and neat. Dr. O'Hara was fantastic! She answered all our questions and she took her time to explain everything to us. She made us feel welcome by getting to know us personally.

We have now had the opportunity to have eye visits with both Dr. Drake and Dr. O'Hara at Drake Eye Care and Eye Wear. Both of my girls, 12 and 9 have been coming here for several years now and love both doctors and their team. They continuously go above and beyond to ensure my family is well taken care of every time we step foot in the building. As long as we live in Middle Tennessee this will be the only Eye Doctor we will come to. I highly recommend everyone go see Drake Eye Care. Best in the Boro!!

Not for young kiddos. I originally liked this place for my husband and myself. When I brought my 7 and 3 year old, things were different. Both kids have had exams here to validate that this wasn’t just a fluke. True to being kids, neither child really did great answering the technicians vision questions. Although the technicians are nice, they did not have any kid friendly tricks to use to help my children. I noticed during both kids technician exams that I personally felt like the exam couldn’t be an accurate one. The problem is that when Dr. Drake came in for all of their appointments, she did not conduct her own exam (aside from using her opthalmascope to look in their eyes). She used her technicians assessment as her own and began telling me her plan. I questioned her about it on my 3 year old and she assured me that she can tell what he needs by just looking at him. This may be true but seems fishy. At our final visit with them, Dr. Drake used the obviously questionable exam (obvious to me who was in the exam room watching) to then come in the room and begin telling me that we will need 18+ weeks of vision therapy (that insurance won’t pay for). I finally wisened up and got a second opinion. The second opinion optometrist indeed conducted a large portion of the exam on his own and was present to realize and use his educated judgment that my daughter was just straining her eyes to try to give the “right” answer. My main problem with this whole situation is that Dr. Drake was making costly recommendations about my children’s eyes based on an exam that was not her own.

Drake Eye Care has one of the most beautiful, new offices I have ever seen and has ALL of the most current, amazing technology. I'm an optometrist in Hendersonville and Dr. Drake generously allowed me to visit her office last week to get ideas for my own office. She has built an office and a team that provides the highest level of eye care and I came away with numerous pearls from my visit. She is a leader in our profession because she is smart, visionary, and passionate about eye care. Murfreesboro is lucky to have her and the facility she has created.

I have had Lasik eye surgery years ago and have started losing my vision again as I'm growing older. I'm very active and bifocals weren't going to fit into my lifestyle. Because of the previous eye surgery my eyes are pretty dry and contacts all day long weren't an answer either. Dr. Drake fitted me for Ortho-K over a year ago and I couldn't be happier. I wear one contact to sleep in and enjoy great vision during the day without glasses or contacts. Whether it's riding motorcycles, kayaking, hiking or just relaxing on the beach, I can't thank Dr. Drake enough for giving my freedom back to me.

I love,love,love everything about Drake Eye Care and Eyewear! I've been coming here for 2-3 years and have had only the BEST experience. Dr.Drake has a great sense of humor and knows how to relate to her patients. Her husband is very friendly and great to work with as well when picking out a new pair of glasses.The supporting staff are wonderful and always pleasant to work with. A big sign that it's a great environment is that majority of the staff has been the same the whole time, meaning it must be a great place to work. They've only added staff because of the growth of another optometrist. I don't normally write reviews, but I've had such a great experience with them as far as customer service I thought it was worth taking the time out to give credit where credit is due!

Unknowledgable about a simple eye problem..got referred to another eye doctor an hour away. Then when I get to the address they gave me to the other doctor (they didnt even send me an appt confirmation email)..it was an abandoned office. I called the contact number they gave me, phone was out of service. You can't make this stuff up guys. Waste of my time, gas, and 2 hours drive for nothing. I called up the office she asks if want to reschedule with another Dr? As if I would trust them again. Talk about a bad experience

I would highly recommend Drake Eye Care for any of your eyecare needs. Everyone from the front desk staff to the technician to the doctor to the style/fit specialist were kind, courteous and extremely helpful. This was my first eye exam experience as well as my 14 year old son's. We had a wonderful experience. They took their time to answer all of our questions. Their prices and insurance handling were affordable and straight forward. We will continue to see them for any/all of our eye needs.

Any person I have been in contact with over the phone or in person here has far exceeded my expectations. Extremely personable people and excellent service. I purchased my infant daughter's glasses and lenses here and have had to replace the lenses on them twice due to scratches. I purchased a scratch warranty on the glasses when I first bought them and they have quickly ordered replacement lenses (for free) both times they've had to be replaced. The people here are fantastic all the way around and I would not even consider the possibility of going anywhere else.

I had a great visit today at the new complex. The building was new, clean, and very orderly when I walked in. I was promptly greeted by the receptionist, and provided the paperwork needed. The tech that brought me back was quick, efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. She answered any questions I had, and did not rush through. The tech took me over & prepaired me to see Dr. Drake. The doctor went over the results of my exam & answered my questions and proposed solutions. Once the appointment was over, they helped me order my two pair of glasses. He explained my new prescription to me & discussed the options I could order for my glasses. The staff at the office is great! Dr. Drake is so good with adults & children. They have all the latest equipment & gadgets. Dr. Drake has helped my wife & I for 2-3 years now and never a bad visit. Good luck with your practice and l highly recommend Drakes Eye Care to everyone.
