I am from this area but, live in North Carolina now. One of the "must go to places" on my list is Dragonfly Tea Room when I am back here visiting. Always enjoyed by all who are with me. My granddaughters have now become tea party lovers.

The outside was pretty and the waitresses were lovely, but here is where it gets ugly; the food was not good! I came with my two sisters. I was born and raised in Scotland, GB and I understand that not everything is going to be 100% the same, on the other hand a scone is more similar to a sweeter biscuit than the "muffin top" that was served. I usually never leave a bad review, but when every bit of the food was left to the imagination as to what it was and not what it was as supposed to be, I cannot leave this one go. The Devonshire cream aka clotted cream was like sweet icing for your cake, and I have never had that in all the tea rooms I have dined at. I honestly don't mean this for bad, but good. Please review your recipes on everything and make it more like the original, or rename your items, as what is served is not what the consumer is desiring. The best thing I had there was the profiteroles aka cream puffs and those were the frozen ones from the shops. Thank you to the waitresses for your kind attitudes and amazing service.

We went here for Mother's Day (the Saturday before) and had a wonderful lunch with tea. The staff was very accommodating, the teas were very good, the food was delicious, and the prices were very inexpensive. Everyone in the group agreed we had such a nice time we'd be back for another visit. I would definitely recommend the Dragonfly Tea Room for lunch.

Food was good but service was slow plus then had a long wait at the register before someone came to check us out.

This is a fantastic little tea house. I went there with my nieces and they loved it. They had a great time and loved the food options on the kids menu. The menu of teas is great and the prices are very reasonable.
    It is quiet and peaceful.
