Outstanding restaurant that my family and I have been eating at for decades. Beautiful views of Douglas Lake; great appetizers, steaks and walleye and love the after dinner ice cream drinks. One of the best places to eat in northern Michigan!

An awesome dining experience on beautiful Douglas Lake. Can sit out back and enjoy the water before dinner. Have never had an item on the menu that wasn't wonderful. Highly recommended if you are looking for a nice evening in a nice setting with good food!

Always a great dining experience. Great food, especially the steaks and perch. Great servers, nice view of the lake. A must stop if you are looking for casual yet find dining quality food and service!

Was there again last night. Specials were meat balls over linguini with marinara sauce or pork loin. Both were great!!

Surprised by any review less than a 4. I don't know of any restaurant that can please everyone, and every server can have an off day, they are humans and deal with personal issues like everyone else. Whenever you deal with the public there are always some that you can't make happy. I believe this place of business cares for it's clientele very well, and the food has always been excellent.

An Outstanding Meal! Six of us enjoyed dinner there last night and everything we ate was delicious! The mussels were the best we have ever eaten and the bruschetta was amazing. The Boursin cheese added so much. We also tried the seafood chowder. Thick with seafood with a bit of a kick. It was delicious! Four of us had the salmon with dill sauce and tomato risotto and the salmon was cooked perfectly! Highly, highly recommend. Make a reservation and get there early so you can sit on the deck!

They've lost a customer of over 25 years. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants but it has gone seriously downhill. Our family has been going to the DLB for years and years the service has always been wonderful. The last time we went our waitress Tammy was abysmal. She forgot one of our courses, she brought the appetizer out with the main course (negating its purpose) and when we expressed our dissatisfaction she had an attitude. She checked on other tables near us 4-6 times however never came back to our table once. At the end we asked to speak with the manager, Sue, who was equally as frustrating to speak with. Her "apology" was a list of excuses but never an actual apology. She told us she would check with our waitress and then come back to talk to us and never even bothered to come back to our table.

On top of the terrible service, the food was incredibly bland. I always order my favorite whitefish and it was served cold without any taste. Others in our party had the perch and walleye and their dishes were also very bland.

Every year we come here for my Dad's birthday but I can assure you we will be going to Damsite next year.

Douglas Lake Bar is one of the more upscale restaurants in the area. You will pay a bit more here for food and drinks but it is well worth it. Inside is super clean and the bathrooms are always spotless. Bartenders and wait staff are very friendly and helpful every time we're in there.
