I loved the walk through the woods and the ravines to the lakefront. The beach was beautiful. It is a wonderful place to sit and read.
Huge park. Lots of room to spread out OR take either path down to Lake Michigan. Beautiful ravines, too.
No beach left hardly. Boo.
Perfect, pebbly beach to escape the overcrowded Bradford and McKinley beaches in Milwaukee. Tree cover lines the shoreline for shade in the early afternoon with plenty of space for a bonfire, picnic and privacy. Don't be afraid to walk the shoreline for the perfect spot! Great for families with small children.
This is a beautiful little park that has a lovely tiny beach on Lake Michigan. It has been hit recently by some storms and trees are down on the shore, but it is still a beautiful little spot. There's about a quarter mile walk to get to the beach down a significant slope to get to it, but there are thoughtfully placed benches so old people like me can rest on the way back up. Very nice.
Very nice park Beautiful trails and beach. Quiet place to stroll and get away from the hussle and busell of the city just a few minutes way. A little buggy in the summer. Main trail to the beach is a little steep Bring your walking shoes and enjoy the nature.
This is one of my favorite Parks in the area. There's ample parking, it's always clean and there is a lot of space to spread out for kids and adults.
Just off the parking lot there is a decent sized playground and sand area. The equipment is in great shape and suitable for youngers and olders- my kids range in age from 1 to 9 and everyone has a great time with out me having to hold the 1 year olds hand the whole time. There's have a good amount of swings and baby swings.
Right next to the playground is an exercise station. It's a great park for jogging. Lots of paths and trails. Lots of flats and elevations to help you get a full work out in beautiful surroundings.
One of the best features of Doctors is the paved paths that lead down to a great section of beach. The paths start just off the playground and head into the forest. Great tall trees, lots of plants, and a small ravine runs along side the path. It's really a beautiful place. There are also lots of trails off the paved path. And if you need a rest there are benches peppered along the paths.
The paths all lead down to a beautiful stretch of beach. All sand and smooth stones and drift wood. If you walk along the beach there are usually things people have made with the wood and stones. Little lean-to structures and little stone mosaics. People have a good time. And it inspires the kids to try to make things too!
If you head north on the beach there's a trail leading to the Audubon Nature Center- great place!
Pack a lunch, bring a blanket and get out in nature. Bring a date. Bring your kids. Bring the whole family! It's a great way to spend a day!
Great place to meditate. Walk the beach or have a gathering. Beautiful
Lovely beach here, picnic areas, trails, and swimming when it’s warm enough. It’s a peaceful and tranquil place, wonderful area to spend a quiet afternoon.
No one ever there most days. The "point" where Fox Point gets its name. (Most likely.) Best place for a quiet day at the beach with the kids.
The trail to the lake is nice. Park is well groomed. Playground could use some maintenance.
Great park. We go for the beach. It is a bit of a steep path down, but the beach is a good size with nice sand away from the water. Right at the Waters edge the sand gives way to pebbles and stones.
Beautiful park on Milwaukee's north shore. Great views of Lake Michigan.
Fantastic hidden gem in the North Shore. Doctor's Park has beautiful walking paths that lead down to the shore, a nice playground, and many hidden coves and nooks, perfect for picnics and daydreaming. It is crowded on holiday weekends but otherwise you can always find your own space.
Wonderful place to get away from city and go for a walk down to the water; rarely too crowded to enjoy. Be prepared for some hill climbing if you're going down to the water though
Nice hidden Gemat least it felt that way. Mainly just families around. Beach was clean and had a private feel to it. Depending on time of day/year.. sand flies favor humans..and can become a nusance.
Wonderful park to visit to escape the city. On a 75°, partly cloudy weekend afternoon, a snack and walk on the beach was just what we needed after a long week full of work. Sand is soft, beach is clean, park areas and grassy fields are perfect for recreation. Highly recommend you visit this place if you live in the area.
