I've had juicier beef jerky than the brisket and how are you expected to eat take out if they don't even offer plastic silverware? And the girl working was about as polite as your typical antifa protestor.

Great spot for a group meal outside of downtown State College. Have met friends here on multiple occasions. This is definitely off the beaten path, and there's a solid chance you'll be the only one in there. Sit back, relax, and enjoy some barbecue.

This is the perfect place for good BBQ and to find some retreat from the busy streets of downtown State College or busy restaurants or North Atherton. I enjoy the drive out here just as much as the food, especially in the fall. The service is good and the setting is cozy much like you would expect a BBQ place to be. It feels like you're at your grandparents cabin in the woods. Doan's is a must stop for lunch or dinner. It's well worth the drive. You won't be disappointed!

Pretty tasty, cool atmosphere. A car drove into the original log cabin a couple years back so they have renovated it, but it's even nicer than it was. Solid food. Not the healthiest or most original, but definitely enjoyable. Can take a long time if you have a bigger group, even when they don't seem busy otherwise.

The food is excellent, the old log building is Great. I have not only eaten at Doan's Bones many times but also used their Catering Service more than 1/2 a dozen times. If you are looking for a GREAT Caterer - Call Brandon & Anita at Doan's Bones. They have a wonderful variety of meal plans and your guests will Rave about the Great food. Their onsite Pizza Oven is the biggest hit every time we hire them. I was recently at a wedding reception where the onsite Pizza Oven was in use - the guests could not stop talking about how special it was to have your very own pizza made for you !!!
