  my 14 year old nephew has just completed his scuba and nitrox certification class. this group of instructors are very very good, you will not do better .hats of to Chase he leaves nothing to chance Hats of to divers den'!!!!! Uncle Chris

  Took my open water diver course here last year. I had first committed to an inland shop in Alpharetta, GA who charged me $600 for equipment and the class (that includes the $300 discount from buying my equipment with them). They then attempted to charge me $100 for inspection of a BCD I bought elsewhere. I kept my class materials and asked for the rest to be refunded. I searched up and down the coast before finding Divers Den. I spoke directly with them and they made concessions in the cost for me since I already had the books, etc. I made the trip down to FL and had an awesome class! The instructor was very nice and even worked around my schedule for the open water dives. I took the course in January but was still able to take my open water dives at the same time due to their proximity to Florida's springs. I am actually on my way down there again this year for a friend's certification! Would definitely recommend them to anyone!!!!

  Students beware,
  
  My wife and I recently had an opportunity to take some vacation time and peruse an advanced dive certification. We spoke with nearly every dive shop between Charleston SC, and Jacksonville FL. The Divers Den agreed to provide the training.
  We ordered the books, accomplished the individual homework, drove 4 hours, stayed in a hotel, and went to the dive shop only to realize that the Divers Den would not be able to fulfill their end of the agreement.
  
  Divers Den PADI trainer intended to send two inexperienced divers to our first dives exceeding 40’ and possibly exceeding 100’ without his actually accompanying us to this depth as is required by PADI. The instructor had a cold or respiratory infection and intended to remain at 15’ and “instruct us from there”. In my opinion as a student and Military Officer this is an unacceptable risk, and I would not have committed to this training if the facts and assumptions had been shared with me.
  It’s unfortunate, not because of the 8 total hours driving, $200 in expenses we incurred, and $100 worth of books we purchased without training. It is that our rare opportunity to take vacation time from work and enjoy a weekend was committed to a dive shop that is dismissive of risks and incapable or unwilling to make a professional judgment call.
  
  I recommend any student diver reconsider Divers Den before committing to any training as we left with the belief that Divers Den was not committed to individual diver’s safety.
