Brought an expensive watch in for a battery. After more than 20 minutes working on it he brought it out. It ran for 20 minutes and stopped. I took it back and he tested the new battery and said it was fine. I just had it looked at by my jeweler at home and was shown all the damage done by Dittmar. Interior parts scratched, screws that never should have been taken out to replace a battery left loose and damage to the movement. Just sent it to the manufacturer to see if it can be salvaged or if I have to replace it. Horrible experience in a shop that gets good reviews. He obviously did not know what he was doing with my watch and did not have the integrity to fess up to it.

We have brought our clocks and watches to Mr Dittmar for years for repair. We have also purchased a few time pieces there as well. The store is a treasure of time. We moved away from the area a few years ago - and Dittmar's Chronotech is one of the businesses we miss the most.
