Very, very good lunch experience. Spicy cauliflower bites are a fine addition to most any dog!
Next time, I'll have my dogs "charred" to help them stand up to the big, bold flavors of the toppings.
Terrific service eating at the bar, too.
A classic Columbus institution. Delicious hot dogs with topping combinations you never before imagined, all at a great price (and don't worry, purists, they can be traditional, too). And did you know they're vegetarian- and vegan-friendly? Plenty of options for those who don't eat meat or dairy.
It can get a bit crowded, so consider doing takeout if that's an option. Otherwise you may have to wait. But it'll be worth it!
Great selections on creative hot dog for totally reasonable prices (~$3.50 to 4 for the fancy kinds), and most dogs can be fried or grilled for no extra cost, AND most recipes can be made vegetarian or vegan upon request (including the topping blend that might otherwise have cheese or dairy products or bacon or something).
I was also told by a friend (haven't corroborated) that they're one of the only places remaining in the Downtown area that's "mom and pop" and original and not new (I had thought with the theme that it was a hipster thing created in the past 10 years or so) but from like 70s or something.
It's usually kinda busy so you might have to wait a while for one of the like only about 8-10 tables they have (minus the bar that seats maybe 12 or so??), but the atmosphere is fun and open minded feeling.
Love this place. Service may not always be amazing, but the prices are great, my food has always come very quickly, and it tastes wonderful. The variety of the basics to crazy combos I never would've thought of is fun to explore, and keeps me coming back for more. Not to mention the late-night hours I work second shift, so I love having a place to go for a midnight snack after work that isn't just another fast food chain. You have officially made me a fan - keep up the great work!
Excellent service for such a small place. Even though it was packed, seating was very well organized and there was no wait. Drink selection was great; food selection was amazing and taste was outstanding. I was impressed compared to my experience at the other location. Next door arcade makes for a fun evening.
Best hot dog place in town! Vegan and vegetarian versions too. Bottled beer selection isn't large, but quite a few local crafts on tap. Not expensive, and good for a quick bite.
Great "hole in the wall" local joint. Very gichey, but the food quality was high. Staff was very nice, very helpful, prices were very good. Menu had a few surprises, good surprises to be sure. Busy, but comfortable. Definitely a must try!
Youd almost miss this place walking downtown. They serve excellent hot dogs. They aren't too filling but the flavor is really incredible. They seem pretty down to earth and do their best to help the customer. They have a bar and the place gets pretty packed around 7. Not much seating so expect a wait when coming in.
Who doesn't love hotdogs?! Vegetarian? No problem. Gluten free? No problem. Vegan? I also don't think this is a problem. Can't remember perfectly though. I'll update this next time I go, 'cause there will be a next time, and it'll probably be soon.
Also, good mixed drinks and regular fries and funnel fries and whatnot.
And great prices.
Even if you have to wait to eat and sit in a tiny restaurant do not let this stop you. The hotdogs are amazing and you will not regret it. Also try their mixed drink options, they are unique and delicious.
My favorite hot dog place in Columbus. Great food, cheap prices. The downtown location is pretty busy, so I go to the location in the Hilltop ( West Broad St.) more often. The food there is just as great!
If you love hot dogs plain or with loaded with random items this is the place. The food is good, the servers and bartenders are nice. The location is small and intimate so at certain times there is a longer line which is fine because most people move it pretty quickly.
Definitely a new favorite restaurant!! There was a bit of a wait for a table, maybe 10 minutes, but it was understandable as the place was packed. Considering how busy it was, the service was great and the wait for food wasn't very long. The menu has an overwhelming amount of fun options, I can't wait to come back and try more of them. Can't get over how great the prices are! $3-$4 for the majority of their dogs, only a few dollars more for the truly over the top options. So nice to be able to go out and have a full meal for less than $10, sizable tip included.
It's a great hot dog place. Don't expect fine dining here, but this is a no frills hot dog restaurant. They do it well, too! The hot dogs are steam or grilled by request, great selection of toppings, cheap drinks, fast service. I love their tater tots! Always cooked perfectly - crispy outside, soft potato inside!
