This was my first time here. Very impressed with the whole production! The food was okay. Need more vegetarian options. If you're a meat eater, you'll love it. I plan to go back!

It was exceptional show. Love it. But we ordered a Brownie Supreme and there was hardly any hot fudge to be found. Very disappointed with the dessert. This is the first time we have experienced this to happen. We've always enjoyed this dessert.

We have been going to Derby Dinner for many many years. The plays and musicals are really good. The food is buffet style with as many trips as you can eat. This is included with the price. Desserts are extra and are served at intermission. The waiters and waitresses get your drinks and later bring the desserts if you order the desserts. You don't have to order.
This is a fabulous place! Be sure to get your reservations in early as this place sells out.

Good location. The ushers were kind, courteous & accommodating. " Curious George" was a cute play, enjoyed by children & adults. The actors & actresses were amazing; well versed, great singers & on point. The child who played George seemed experienced, confident & very professional. All the players were excellent! A very pleasurable experience!

The food was very good, and the entertainment was top-notch. We saw "Mamma Mia" and the cast knocked it out of the park. The singing was good, but the acting and choreography was stellar. Almost Broadway quality. The sets, costumes, and music were wonderful. And I don't think there's a bad seat in the house. My only complaint was a lack of legroom at my seat at a table on the first platform. All in all it was a fun night and a top-notch performance.

For about $100 per couple one gets a fair bite to eat and entertained. Hard to beat. However, if you go more that once in a year the same actors wear thin. In A Murder Is Announced the detective is an overused gent with a most annoying voice. The only "youngish" actor is a slim guy with dark hair that is neither talented nor likeable even if his part is supposed to be. Several of the women are excellent but the cast gets reused and it's like an actor's club not a theater. The food is a buffet with a salad bar and it's sufficiently stocked that you'll eat well. Normally the who done it plays are exceptional at Derby Dinner but this one I've mentioned is poor. So many loose ends, stumbling lines make it impossible to follow and it never brings one into the play. Very boring and dissappointing.

This is a dinner theater as the name implies.

Tables are arranged on several levels on three sides of the stage.

Food is offered as a buffet with adjacent salad bar and is of fairly good quality with a reasonable variety of selections.

Patrons are welcome to return to the buffet and salad bar as often as they like.

Admission price includes the performance, meal and coffee or tea. Alcoholic beverages available at additional cost.

Good selection of desserts available at extra cost.

We've been season ticket patrons for thirty years or more and still enjoy it.

Free parking. Wheelchair accessible parking, seating and restrooms.

Credit and debit cards accepted, considerable savings on season ticket packages.

We were at Derby Dinner enjoying a murder mistery, not our first visit. We have seen several plays there and never been disappointed. The food there is very good too. We may even get season tickets.

The show was great. Enjoyed very much.
But the server we had was not the best.
I realize she was busy but she would always making it to the table next to ours then turn and go away. We finally had to stop her and ask her if she forgot about us.
I was very reluctant to even leave a tip. But we left her a nice one anyways even though she didn't deserve it.

The show was fantastic as usual. Murder Mystery shows seem to be their specialty. The buffet, though usually yummy, was lacking today. The pork was tough, mashed potatoes had a funny taste and dinner rolls were hard. Service by waitress was fantastic. She checked on us several times and kept glasses full.

Took our 8 year old grandson and 14 year old granddaughter to see The Music Man. It was a wonderful show and we all enjoyed it. They are picky eaters, but we enjoyed the country-style food buffet. The wait staff is always pleasant.

Hard to beat Derby Dinner Playhouse. We have been several times and its always great, just saw The Music Man and it was fantastic!! Love the film and thought this wouldn't touch it but I was wrong, this show was awesome! The actor playing Harold Hill does a fine job in sounding quite a bit like Robert Preston and that was a good choice. The actress playing Marion has a beautiful voice and the choreography for the show was amazing, what they can do on a small stage is remarkable. Before the show enjoyed the buffet, the quality of the food is pretty good, standard buffet fare. Desserts soda and adult beverages are not included, we did dessert and they were delish. The wait staff is very attentive and some of them are on stage too! Honestly the people that work here work their butts off. Tip these people well, they deserve it! Will definitely be back!

The food was much better than expected. Everything was delicious. Loved the salad bar, the fried fish was awesome, and the strawberry cheesecake was absolutely amazing best cheesecake ever. Our server, who was also a lead singer/actress in the play, was amazing she worked her butt off the whole night and she also has an excellent voice. The performance of Sister act was done really well. The lead actress that played Delores is exceptionally talented, she can SING she dance and she is a great little actress too, the quality i would expect to see on Broadway. Only criticism I have for the theater is that the seats were hard and uncomfortable, for somewhere that we had to sit for 4 hours, 2 hours eating 2 hours show, it got really uncomfortable by the end of the night. All and all we had a great time.

This was our first time, and our first time out in nearly 2 years (we have 8 kids, doesn't happen often), and we couldn't be happier about our choice! We we're running late, but still caught the buffet, which boasted a delicious ham! We sprung for desserts, and my peanut butter pie was huge and WONDERFUL! I've been involved in theater for years, but my husband had never been to a show before. He's hard to please when it comes to entertainment, but even he wants to go back! Also, we had to put in last minute reservations, and had to be difficult about it, but Allison got us set up and was incredibly understanding and sweet! We even had to change those last minute reservation due to a child breaking his arm, and they were great about that! Our server was wonderful, also! I've missed theater so much and this completely made my entire weekend! It's classy and not expensive when you consider what you get! We would have spent more on dinner and a movie, but been less entertained! Thank you to all of the people that helped make our night great!
