Great views of herding Elk. 2 herds came together along the hills would have consideredmyself lucky to catch a glimpse of a couple but there must have been 40+

Great elk viewing area. This is an overlook out into the hills. Short walk from parking.

Best time to see elk is early morning and then a couple hours before sunset. We saw these and many others on the roads leading to and around Dents Run Elk Viewing area and Winslow Hill viewing area. Close to dusk was best as they come out when the temperatures cool down to eat grass in back yards and open fields. This was pre-rut so I am sure it may change. We heard at least two different Bulls bugle, even though it was on August 11, 2017. Amazing to see these wild creatures so close.

If you ever want to see the elk. You should go about 3 to 4 in the afternoon. That is when they come out right before dark is best.

Didn't see any elk here at 3:45pm in November. Right off the road with plenty of parking, nice viewing areas and a pavilion to stay out of the weather. Worth the quick stop.

No elk here today, or anytime I've stopped, but the view is worth the few minutes it takes. Good parking, including for handicapped drivers, and a nice Pavillion to eat lunch or get it if the weather.
