The place is really cool. Movies started sooner than advertised but that was fine. They need another place to buy concessions though or a bigger building because the place they have now probably has an occupancy of 15. Anyway I will be back!
I've been to a handful of drive-in theaters and this one is as great as any! The staff was super friendly and helpful when we had to tie our trunk down, the concessions were fairly priced and the menu was extensive. Plus, the bathrooms were super clean and nice, a rare find in places like this. The screen and field were also well-kept. I hope to return!
It's a very small drive in with. I think they only have two screens, but it's a great price. You pay fort more than one movie.
Great family experience. The snack bar is excellent,we eat dinner there every time we go. My only complaint is sometimes when there's a dark lit scene in any movie it is very hard to see what's happening
I live at the exit from Delsea Drive Drive-in and a lot of people come out of there after the movie! It is great because there are not to many Drive-ins left! I would advise anyone who hasn't been to one yet please experience one now before they are gone forever!
One of a kind in New Jersey, The Delsea Drive-In is a great place to take in a movie and grab a bite. The tickets are reasonable and the seats are comfortable as long as you bring comfortable seats with you. The concession menu is extensive and well priced and I implore you to take advantage of it (that is where all theatres make their money and so it is imperative to keeping this treasure open). Great place to take in a double feature, especially if you have young kids who can't handle the normal theatre experience yet.
This place is fantastic! Not only is it an incredibly rare find, but we're so lucky that it's a good one!! It's a novel, fun experience and Delsea is a clean, family-friendly operation. Everybody should come here multiple times a year - we do, from a hour away!
The ONLY reason it's not five stars is the line to get in, it takes incredibly long, due in large part to the search for outside food. I totally understand the fact that the concessions - and this place offers extensive selection - are a large portion of the profit, and I want this business to succeed. But I think there's a better way to go about it. Instead of a flat charge to bring in outside food, the venue should still charge, but give a voucher for the snack bar. If it's unused, it will act the same way, and if it's used, it'll likely precipitate further purchases. The peek inside the car should end - it's both time-consuming and ineffective. And the point for the venue should be to get people in as soon as possible, the longer they're in, the more likely they are to visit the snack bar.
I dunno why I gave a business plan here, I guess I hope delsea reads it because it's a great great place and I hope to make this a tradition with my kids someday.
I love the delsea drive in. I bring new people and spread the word about my times there.
Great price for a night of safe family fun....2 movies for the price of 1.(sometimes 3)..
You can rent chairs...eat on the picnic tables or your car...prices are reasonable...friendly atmosphere.
Would rate it a 5 star experience but 1. miss the option to bring your own food (we need ORGANIC choices )
2 . Screen 1 is a little dark
3 . lines to get in can be VERY LONG
..... but otherwise it's great.
... Come early to avoid lines getting in and enjoy
Clean bathrooms too !
GO MAKE SOME MEMORIES !!!
I love the drive in. One of the greatest things to do on a summer night. True Americana! Right in vineland nj my backyard!
Our special date night. It's an hour away from us, but always worth it. We love the food they serve and we love have a special night together. Highly recommend.
Give me a break with all the diabetics who can't take a juice box in. Their concession stand has everything. They only make money from the concessions. And yes if he let one person do it, everyone one would be a diabetic. Or he would get sued for discrimination if he denied one person and not the other. Arrive early and stop in the concession stand. Problem solved. Maybe he will make a special line for people with diabetes. This places prices are so much cheaper then a regular movie theater and you get to see 2 new movies. You wonder why there are hardly any drive-in left. Everybody brings in there own food.
