Would have been 5 stars if I had caught a fish. Honestly didn't see anyone catch anything all weekend.
Had spot 5 right on the river and it was perfect. Not much firewood laying in Forrest As it is picked clean and it had rained a lot so what there was was wet. While driving Tooni Gap road to the swing bridge I loaded up my truck with wood on side of road. There was lots and much drier.
Weekdays in August and the place was deserted except for a few people putting in canoes and such. Friday night it filled up more and Saturday was busy. Still it was pretty quiet no beautiful. Great 4 days and only left to explore other campsites. Highly recommend.

Nice little rustic campground. Only a handful of sites that are easily accessible by car, van, etc. No electricity or running water. No dumpster or garbage disposal either. Please be considerate and clean after yourself. The wood deck is nice and the river is gorgeous. A short drive away there is a dirt road that takes you to a beautiful suspended bridge.
Someone must have been confused as to how to use the latrine/vaulted bathroom, and left a couple of poos on the floor, together with paper. Pretty nasty. Maybe kids. Anyways, if that is the case, the parents should have been more proactive and cleaned it up. It made one of the two latrines unusable. Quiet time is 10PM but inconsiderate campers find a way to impose their screaming kids and loud music on all the others who go there to be in peace and with nature. Luckily by 11:30 they passed out and we could finally sleep.

Iv been going to this place since I was 3 and I'm 23 now. Beautiful place if your a nature lover like me. Has a great swimming area , fishing is all ways great if you know where the honey holes are. Has a couple of trails you can walk on. The place has really improved over the last 20 years. An I for one can't wait to come back this June. 6/17. To enjoy this place that I love so much.

This is a small campground, but with easy access to the main road if that's what you are looking for. The river is accessible from multiple points. There is a vault toilet (latrine) and from what i could tell, the water pump did not work.
I am amazed at the apparent selfish attitude of previous visitors. Everywhere I go, I have to pick up trash. Pack in, pack out so the next visitors can enjoy the same beauty that I left for you.
