  Flying in and out of Daytona both on trips and as a Private Pilot makes this my local home airport, the TSA line and check in counters both move very fast and are typically not crowded, and the bar inside has a great staff and a good view of the runway and gate as you wait for your plane.

  Nice, easy airport with amazingly good food! Not a big choice of restaurants, but what they have is good! Breezed through security!

  It directly flies to/from Atlanta Airport in Georgia, a "hub". It is operated and owned by the County. It is busy, and renovations are in progress, but it is otherwise the same as it was years ago when I first came to Volusia County from Southern California.

  Security and gate agents are not open early in the AM. If your flight is in the morning plan on getting there an hour ahead of time.

  Now that they have a connection to JFK, this is my airport of choice to literally go anywhere else in the world. No hassle short TSA lines and plenty of seats open. Lost a star for not having Wi-Fi/consistent Wi-Fi

  Love it ,its close to my place , they treat you like a person unlike Orlando. It may be a little more pricy but it is totally worth it .
