Room was neat and clean. This hotel has been recently renovated. Learn from our mistake though and note that you need to CALL them from the airport to the them you need the shuttle to come. It doesn't make rounds like the other hotel shuttles do.

1- happy with the condition and the cleanest of the room , bathroom-2- only one person o the desk make the check in little hard -3- good people works good , 4- they advisement work charge me 7 in stead of 4 to park ,also 75 instead 60 the publish rate --5-- breakfast nothing but some sample of cream cheese ,and butter , you can't count on it at all , overall 6 out 10

This location needs to be updated; One would think that since this location is so close to the Airport it would be kept up but this is not the case they don't even have WiFi service, in this day in time this should be standard. As you pull up in the parking area you will notice some room Windows have black plastic sheeting up to the Windows one would think someone may have been killed in those rooms.There is a mildew smell on the inside of the motel. The restaurant an the food is not up to standards for the price. I paid $16.00 for a chicken salad, small soft drink that should have cost $8.00.I needed some lemons and asked desk clerks for some an she told me that she would get them for me only if I gave them a good review sounds like a bribe to me. In all quality and star rating should be a 2 star venue. Would I ever pay to stay here No the only reason I did is because the company I am working for put me up here. Great location but could be much better.

My stay at the Days Inn at DTW was nice. It was convenient to the airport, free shuttle, confortable. It's a bit shabby, a mix of attempts to remodel but retaining old dated stuff. Typical free hotel breakfast.

The outside looked like a brand new building, but don't let that fool you this is an old building and needs a lot of work inside.
The service was great they had us checked in to our room very quickly and was helpful with all of our questions.
The room was very basic with old carpet and halfway done trim, paint, and walls. The bed was comfortable and clean. The tub was discolored and didn't look clean. TV worked along with the microwave and refrigerator.
It says it has a breakfast in the morning but what a joke. Don't come hungry, get something else on the way out.

Kailey at the front desk is a super star! Twice she helped us in a very professional manner despite being swamped with a long line up of guests and juggling many balls at once.

Went just to get a place to sleep and park while on holidays and got a gorgeous huge room at hardly more than the cost of parking at the airport.
Shuttles are busy so don't miss your ride.
Getting your car back is painless if your sure of your return date, otherwise saw a traveler have to wait a bit while they got his car.response / report this review -

Five stars because this place is a good value. Don't expect them to respond to your every whim, however the place is clean and comfortable. We did get some noise from the floor above, I might have been better off on the top floor.

I got the park sleep fly package. For the price it was quite acceptable. The hotel is run down a little bit but they are making upgrades slowly. Could use a second front desk associate but the woman working it was very efficient and super friendly. The beds we're very comfortable and the room was very clean. I would stay there again.

Stayed here for a short overnight stay before an early morning flight - caught the shuttle for that. Shuttle was cramped, but understandable. Stayed in a single room, 1 King bed. Room was clean, tv was big, bed was comfortable, bedside lamps have very convenient outlets at the base, mini fridge, great pillows. The front desk clerks were very polite and accommodating. Slow elevator. Note: I did not try the restaurant/bar.

I had stayed at this hotel probably 8 years ago several times and knew it wasn't the best place but it hadn't been the worst. I remembered that 7 days of parking was included in the price of the room and the free shuttle to the airport made it so convenient. I booked the room through a major online travel site and looked forward to staying the night so close to the airport and all the conveniences I had experienced before.
Upon arrival and check-in I was advised that since our trip was 8 days I was going to be charged for one additional day of parking. I was fine with that and readily gave my credit card. They have also changed the parking procedure and you are now required to leave your vehicle keys with the staff.
Once to the room I noted that the rooms have been updated but everything was cheap. The cabinet doors don't close without jamming them, the wear on the newer furniture was clear and the room door stuck on the carpet when you opened it. The room smelled very stuffy and the bathroom was not clean. We couldn't find the TV remote so I called the front desk. I very friendly employee came to the room twice but was unable to provide us with a working remote. Not the biggest deal but a slight inconvenience.
In the morning we packed up and headed down to check out and grab the included breakfast. The food was bad and I have had some cheap CHEAP breakfasts in hotels. The supposedly warm food was cold, the cheese was out of a can and the offerings were lacking.
I then went to check out and noted a fee of nearly $50 on the bill. I asked what it was and was told it was for parking. I was told that the major online travel site I had booked through didn't include parking. I went to check in via Yelp and noted that it quoted me the exact price I had paid through the online site and showed it included parking. We then went to grab the shuttle to the airport and found the shuttle so backed we barely squeezed in. We had to lean against the door pushing people in.
When we returned from our trip I tried to no avail to negotiate anything regarding the parking fee. If you want a cheap place to stay that is what the Days Inn at the Detroit Metro Airport in Romulus is. Be cautious about being charged for parking and don't expect anything fancy. The staff was friendly even when telling you they can't help you.response / report this review -

Rooms were clean but staff was more interested in playing on their cell phone than helping. I asked for extra pillows and the gal said I'm the only one here but I will try to find some later. She didn't even bother to ask what room we are in. It's now 8 o'clock and still no pillows. Ive stayed at better in the area.

Went for a meeting. Great size meeting room. Very clean and well stocked. The staff came in every half hour or so and refreshed the snacks and beverages there. All the AV equipment was working and not outdated. Overall, nice place to have a small conference meeting.

Stayed there once before and I just booked a room for tonight. Perfect for flying out. Shuttle is great, the wings restaurant beer taps work just fine. Thanks.

Power was out due to recent wind storm although they had a generator working and we're very accommodating regardless!
Changed my opinion upon return waited 1 hour in the cold for the shuttle. Not impressed!response / report this review
