The food is very good; definitely better than the chain restaurants that are nearby. Their fish fry was perfect and HUGE, also reasonably priced. Support local businesses!

I have been coming to Davidson's since the 80's. Amazing fish and pressure cooked chicken. Some of the waitress staff have been here for over 40 years. Love this place

My family has been enjoying this restaurant since I'm a childover 40 years. In our opinion, the fish fry is second to none. Plenty affordable and more than can be eaten in one sitting. Melts in your mouth! I almost never come to Jamestown without eating here and have even been known to come just for the fish fryit's an hour's drive. Well worth it. Can't rave enough!!😊

I'm a bit biased: I know that other places have larger fish fry platters, and I've spoken to others who prefer the fish fry of other establishments, but for my money Davidson's is still the best. I've been coming here since the early 80s, and after living out of the area for awhile and coming back I can honestly say that their fish fry is better than anyplace else I've lived. Their other food isn't bad (their chicken is particularly good), but the fried fish is really what the restaurant is known for.
Don't worry about the menu: There's plenty of broiled fish to be had, or steak and burgers if you don't like seafood. Avoid at all costs if you have shellfish allergies, however (luckily, I don't).response / report this review -

I was impressed with how many people they were able to accommodate by getting ppl and out quickly while serving good food. My broiled fish was a little overcooked but my mom said hers was great. Great quality.

Love it! Fried halibut instead of cod. Plan on taking the extra home for lunch tomorrow. Everything I've eaten here is so awesome I cannot do this place justice.

Davidson's is a longtime staple in this area. I hadn't been in quite a while, and I need to come back more often. Good menu, good specials, great food and great prices. Definitely a diner feel to the place, as well.
Oh, and Jerry Seinfeld ate here when he did a good in town!response / report this review
