The Wi-Fi reception is appealing - too sparse for my liking.
    You pay for parking.

This review is part on the Pittsburgh Pet Expo and part on the convention center as i'm not sure who exactly is to blame. I loved it last year, but this year I decided to bring my dog. Now I take my dog to plenty dog friendly joints so he is up to date on all vaccines and such and on the website it says vaccines are required. So I had my proof-of-vaccination papers ready as I bought my tickets. I showed them my papers and they told me "Oh, we don't check for vaccination history unless an incident happens." Which I gather is for rabies if someone gets bitten. BUT if all these pets are roaming around and are not vaccinated, rabies is not the only important vaccine in this situation! All it takes here is for ONE dog with parvovirus and then there's an outbreak of serious disease! Not to mention bordatella and distemper. Upon walking in there was also blood all over the floor, I tried asking multiple employees and passersbys and no one seemed to know where it came from, nor was anyone making a move to clean it. I do love going to Pet Expo, but people please don't bring your pets here.

Great auto, gun and, home shows here. Parking here isn't a pain and not too expensive despite being downtown. Very easy to get to from the airport, pretty much a straight shot. The facility itself is very impressive! The building is gorgeous and offers amazing views of the river! A great place to spend some time on the weekend!

Nice large Convention Center. However they price gouge on everything. They have good events but you will want to plan your meals and your spending

I attended Anthrocon 2017 here and was absolutely blown away! The views are beautiful and the staff is helpful and caring. Food was a little high priced but was delicious! I will be attending next year!

Awesome convention center. Very spacious, went here my first time this year for Anthrocon and was blown away by the size of the building, and how clean it was kept.

I have been here for a number of different events and although most are all set up the same way, each have their own unique things about them. We usually have tickets ahead of time but when we don't, the ticket people are usually pretty quick. Getting into most events is fine and usually if we have questions we can find out where to go to get answers. The restrooms have been clean and well attended to. I don't recall eating there so I can't say anything about that. Parking is a bit pricey and often fills up fast, especially for large events but there is plenty of parking nearby and it is easy to walk to.

The convention center is wonderful. It has amazing views from the outdoor areas, especially the rooftop. I've been there for Tekko and Anthrocon and both times have been amazing. The bathrooms were rather clean when I went and there are a bunch of food options within walking distance of the convention center.

Conventions conventions conventions! Seriously, I don't understand why people rate the convention center as bad just because the convention itself wasn't fun. This is a world class building that is a focal point of Pittsburgh and a great driver of tourism. I, for one, love coming here to get my convench on. I've done RVs, cars, home and garden, arts and crafts, trades, you name it, I've convenched it. And this is the best place to do it. Big. Tons of light. Convenient. Hip. Cantilevered.

There are union workers and then there is this. An exploitation and gross deviation from a once great system. I have spent 20 years working with professional crews and never have I been so rudely forced to not do my job. Most unions across the country will gladly let visitors lend a helping hand so that a great job can be done quickly. The way things are done at this building are counter-intuitive and slow down production to tortoise speeds.

Could be an awesome facility, but the management sucks. Worked a vendor event there. They combined 2 events making it so there were 2 of the same vendor. The other vendor got the better spot. I lost money, essentially taking food out of my children's mouths.
