Had the world famous lobster roll, and was not disappointed. The shack is easy to miss, but worth keeping a keen eye out for. It may seem expensive, but if you are hungry, spring for the oversized roll.. It is seriously amazing.
Just go there and try yourself. These massive good ratings won't lie. We had a lobster roll and I will dream about it until the next time we are back at key west. Definetly worth the money.
Terrific lobster rolls! They would rival any you could find in Maine. Sweet potato fries were golden, sweet and accompanied by a savory dipping sauce. Perfectly paired! Not a stop you want to miss while you are visiting Key West!
I had a fresh, delicious and toasted bun lobster roll! Fantastic!!! Tasty french fries, so crispy.. Friendly staff. Great place, good location and position on the main street. I really recommend it to have a taste of delicious traditional Key West food.
Had a lobster roll last night. Was expertly prepared, very fresh, and on a deliciously toasted bun. Was offered Mayo or Butter as a topping. Fries were great! Had a bowl of New england clam chowder, and that was thick, creamy, with huge chunks of clam. Expensive, but the quality supports the price. Great for a treat!
Amazing food. Had lobster roll best in Florida and the sweet potato fries with maple mayo sauce im doing a do over before we leave Key West!!!
Lobster roll $18 very good. Served with chilled claw meat on buttered toasted bun. Fried shrimp w/ fries $13 better than average. Crab cake special $12 average. Small open air bench dinning. Beer selection poor. Great fast service. I would return for the Lobster roll.
Before going to DJ's I've never had a Lobster roll before. I thought this is pretty pricey for a sandwich. We tried it on Friday for lunch. Well, we liked it so much we came back again on Sunday. The Lobster roll was worth every penny. If your in Key West this is a must do place for your list.
I walked several blocks just to go to this place for lunch during Fourth of July weekend, and it was worth it. The lobster roll was amazing. I was a bit bummed when I finished it but for $18 that was pretty much going to be the only one, lol. The lobster was moist with a combination of sweet, salty and buttery flavors. The toasted bun was perfect. The restaurant is quite small, hence being called a "shack," but the wait time was pretty fast and didn't take too long to find a seat. Friendly staff, clean place, great experience.
The place was very neat, food was great, if you haven't been there try the main lobster roll it is very great. The lobster is cooked to perfection. Workers there are also very polite. 10/10 would definitely come back
Good food. Try their clam chowder and shrimp roll. The guy taking orders was so accommodating too!
Excellent, fast service. Great staff. Worth the wait in line. Better than Maine lobster!!! Phenomenal flavor and great beer selections.
Absolutely delicious food! It was fast and decently priced. Best clam chowder I've ever had. The overstuffed lobster roll is to die for. They use half a pound of lobster for it. A must try.
Saw this place on Triple D so I had to try it when I was there two weeks ago. Everything I had hoped for and more. It will be hard to order a lobster roll anywhere else. My girlfriend is gluten free (for the most part). She ordered one without a bun and they put it in a container with cucumber and pickled onion or around it. She loved it!!!
