Came here for a work event. Honestly, the food was alright. Not the biggest fan of their main dishes, which included mini burgers, nachos, and wings. However, am definitely a big fan of their dessert. Their banana cream pie is honestly so great and would recommend.
Tried a few of their drinks. Room service is a great one if you don't like the taste of alcohol and prefer juicy drinks.
Also, they do have a nice reservation policy for companies, so great for large parties.
Our first visit to Scottsdale, Culinary Dropout was close to our hotel. We luckily made reservations, seems to be recommended. Were seated promptly. Our server Rob was very friendly, explained some menu items. We had the meatloaf and the chicken sandwich. Both were very tasty and fresh. My son had a Manhattan, said it was good but I think $12 is definitely overpriced for a cocktail. We were in and out within an hour. Not my favourite place I have eaten here, but I give it a solid B+
A trendy and extremely busy gastropub in the Scottsdale Waterfront area. I had their chicken sandwich and old fashioned, both of which were very tasty. I was also pleased with the service, which was exceptionally friendly and plenty prompt.
I'm not a fan of how pricey the cocktails are, but being from Vancouver, this is something I'm numb to. A reservation is definitely recommended, especially if going with a group of three or more.
Went for lunch. Server was good, food was good (nachos and the pretzels w/ provolone fondue were delicious starters and great for the group), lovely look to the restaurant. Only downside was that the music was SO loud that we could hardly have conversation. I appreciated the free parking in the ramp, too, with so many shops and cars it can be hard to find parking on the street.
The food was great and our waiter was good. However, the front ladies who seat you seem clueless. They almost acted as if we were an inconvenience because we had not made a reservationit was out first time here. I totally get we came at 5pm on a weekend but there was only 3 of us. To be told "we need this table back in 2 1/2 hours because of a reservation" is a little rude. One hour, okay I get it but 2 1/2 hours seems a bit much to be telling us. I didn't really like that 80% of the restaurant was saved for reservations. I'd for sure be back if I knew reservations wasn't always going to be an issue. I'd recommend being a bit more walk in friendly especially since the location is surrounded by shopping!
Been here a couple times. Always had great food but the staff can be a little too distant at times. Good definitely makes up for it though
Great atmosphere for a date night or just to hang out with friends. Be prepared to drop at least 50 on dinner and drinks but well worth it. Service was pretty good. Definitely will be back.
Amazing atmosphere!!! Even better food Fox concept restaurants never let me down. I've been to all except Tucson. The service is always exceptional, and the food never disappoints. This is a top contender for top restaurant award
Stopped in for Happy Hour. Out server came by, and soon after, I gave her a list of all my food allergies before ordering. Next the Manager stopped by to help me personally select food that would be safe for me to eat, and explained the Chef would also review my list. We had also told our server that we needed to be done by a certain time, as we had an event to go to. The Manager asked for a change to one of the dishes for me, so I could enjoy it. All that saidWOW!!! Our service was excellent, the food was amazing, andthey got us out on time. The cocktails were great also. The meatball sandwich was SOOOO good. Also, I will definitely return to a restaurant such as Culinary Dropout that takes food allergies seriously, treats me so kindly, and where I know I can trust what comes in my meal. I can't wait to come back!
Yes, a happening place. It is a scene with cool patio and funky chairs, but service was just ok. Things took a while. I had to ask for water for myself when they only brought for my son. Then had to ask people for refills. Prices were steep ranging from 3.50 for a Sierra Mist to $26 for a think Korean steak. Was it tasty, yes, but thin. Had the pretzel balls and they were good but filling. Wonder if they can be made healthier.wheat, smaller sizes? I enjoyed the patio tho. One other faux pas was that when I asked if there was music, I got looked at my the hostess in a rude way. She said they never have music there on Wednesdays. I pulled up their website and showed her what I meant and she basically disregarded me, even though it was clearly a typo. Lumberyard beer nothing special. I wish my shrimp salad was not deep fried, but it was good.
MEATLOAF!!! I love the meatloaf here. Best restaurant meatloaf I have ever had. I wish I could tell you more about the menu but since I got the meatloaf on my first visit I have never tried anything else. Great location and nice atmosphere. Like most places by Fashion Square it is a little over priced but still worth the visit.
I visited culinary drop out. Made a reservation and was told I may have to be seated out on the patio but it is 1st come 1st serve. I arrived earlier than my reservation. The restaurant had 1 side fully empty. I asked about being seated on the inside and was told the patrons would be arriving within 30 minutes. I decided to spend my money else where.
Well let me start off by saying I have eaten at some bad restaurants before with rude employees. But after eating and spending my money at this establishment I can assure you this might be the absolute worst restaurant experience I've had in my entire life. I work in sales management and I fly around a lot and I eat at different restaurants almost daily. I have never left a negative review on any restaurant before but after my experience at this one I couldn't help my self. Let me start off with their hamburger. It was obviously under cooked and I didn't feel comfortable eating it. So I tell the waiteress I would like my meat cooked a bit more. She looks at me with this weird face like I am inconveniencing her. It's your job. So I ask to see the manager about 45 minutes later he comes storming through the restaurant with a furious face. Starts threatening me and says his cook has never let anything but what was ordered out of the kitchen. Like his chef cant make a mistake. Then he was going on about how his boys are gonna get me. Like he is gonna send people to come beat me up. I honestly couldn't believe what I had just experienced. Avoid this place at all costs. Very hostile and rude staff.
We had such a great time tonight this is my new favorite place in Scottsdale! The service was great, the atmosphere on the patio was cozy and lively and the food was amazing!! We shared the pretzel fondue, turkey pastrami sandwich and saladsMy sisters agree, this will be the spot we'll come back to every time I'm in town!
