  Should be zero stars, had to put one, to get this to post. Do NOT take anything to this store for warranty or repair work. I brought my stihl ms 661c-m to them for diagnosis and repair. 4 weeks later, without a phone call, I stopped in to check on progress. They had plugged it into computer a few weeks prior but needed me to provide a bar and chain, so they could run it under load. Two weeks later, I get a voice-mail saying it runs perfect and couldn't find a problem. 6 weeks and $60 later, I had my saw back, only to find it still idled well above half-throttle. There's no possible way for it to pass computer diagnosis with an idle that high. If they had started saw at all, it would have been immediately obvious, to the ear. Took saw to another dealer and, within 48 hrs, found problem and fixed saw. Craigs hardware service department is an absolute joke. Lazy and incompetent, I will never set foot in that store again.

  I have been using Craig's Hardware for about a year. They have rarely done right by me. They have double charged my credit card and when I offered for them to keep the double charge they accepted to keep it. That was in speaking with the owner of the store. no honor, and poor integrity. I had to ask pretty hard for them to give me a free blade sharpening about 5 months later when I explained that to them. If they didn't have a few niche's of their market cornered I believe more people would speak up about their poor service.
  
  They have sharpened blades for me on my chainsaw and have messed them up more than once. Brought the teeth down to almost nothing in one case and in another did not sharpen the chain at all. Whenever I bring these things to their attention they always try to wiggle out of it instead of accepting responsibility and improving.
  
  I brought in a trimmer with a 5 year warranty on it and when they talked to Echo they somehow made it my fault that the bearings in the engine went bad. The air filter on the trimmer was in just awful shape, however this has little to do with the performance of the bearings within the engine; certainly nothing that would void a warranty on a commercial trimmer, a SRM-266 in use for about 8 months, bought 14 months ago in Marne from Brian at Woodland Equipment a certified Echo Dealer.
