I had a great time at this place. You will find all kinds of people in here. They have pool tables, bars in different places. It is a country music bar but they also play other kind after 1am. It is fun. Big parking lot.

When I go, it is usually on Fridays. The free lessons are great and the dance floor is large. The music, while well-played, is way too loud (in the painful/dangerous range). I already have permanent hearing loss in my left ear from another dance venue which was too loud. I have tried unsuccessfully twice to get management at Cowboys Red River to turn the sound down to where the speakers lose their "overdriven" buzz, but they just turn it right back up within minutes. So, when I go, I always wear ear protection (ear plugs I get in the shooting section at Wal-mart which take off 30+ db). The sound level is fine for the lessons, but they crank it up once the lesson is over. Dancing is fun, but it shouldn't cause permanent hearing loss!

My favorite place to dance. Things could be better but we could say that about any place. I go to dance & hang out with my dance friends. Anything else is just a bonus :)

Ohhh the red river. You gotta love this place if you want live music, playing pool and drink for fun and dance. They do it right. Place is packed during the weekend so come on time for the live band. They have few bars areas spread thru the place and a bullride location also. Lots of parking also but when its parked yoh need to park far. The fee to get it is not a lot about$8 or so if its not a special night. Also they jave dance classes during the week of you want to learn.

Lively place to dance and people watch. I really enjoy the live music and the bar inside the racetrack style dance floor. Free dance lessons by a really talented instructor rounded out a great evening.

This place was PACKED! But we definitely had a great time. The drinks weren't pricey at all and it was an overall safe and friendly atmosphere.

Great place to go with a group or a few friends to line dance, two step and have fun in general. Live band on Saturday nights, pool tables, a mechanical bull and beautiful women tending bar and dancing everywhere. What more could you want? Free dance lessons Wed and Thurs. 18+ welcome. Dance floor is open until 3am Sat night.

Huge dancehall/bar that gets packed around 9pm. Good music, live bands, and free dance lessons if you go early enough. Only negative is that some of the drinks feel watered down. Parking can be bothersome, but valet is available.

In town for our annual Thrive Ultimate Party and my husband got to experience real Texas style..ladies night so I got in free (thanks!) And although the hubs dislikes country music (shame, I know) he had a great time! Thank you, thank you!! Highly recommended

I had so much fun here! I thought it was going to be more line dancing, but it was mostly couples dancing. I wouldn't recommend going unless you have a partner. There's no food, so you should come full or there's a lady that sets up a tent outside that sells hot dogs and the like. There's pool, live music, and a mechanical bull to keep you busy if you don't have a partner. Overall, I had a blast, just wish there would have been more line dancing.

Not the best country bar I've been to. Most of the tables were reserved when we got there for some birthday party. Understand reserving some tables for a birthday party but when the majority of the place is off limits on a Saturday that gets ridiculous. The layout of the place is awesome though, never waited more than 5 minutes for a beer.
