Nice place. Very pricey. Apple cider was more than double the price of grocery stores. Their pumpkin spice donuts are the best on earth. Pumpkin selection was exceptional. They have farm animals for kids to look at and feed. Hayrides. You pick your own fruit .

Held an event using the bonfire/hayride activity they offer at night. I was blown away! The staff was amazing and Traci (helped with booking/organizing/running the event) was incredibly sweet!! I cannot say enough good things about our event. All of the attendees were raving about how much fun they had! I will definitely hold another event there. You can feel how much they truly care and I highly recommend to all!!

Love coming here! I try to get here when they open. If you don’t it is super crowded. It’s reasonably priced compared to those in IL. Overall I’ve always had a great experience here. Staff is always friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Was a very nice place for the family. Wish we would of went earlier in the season for apple picking, did get some good ones, but many of our favorites were done for the season.Some of the younger staff (teenage were not that friendly or not that used to seeing urban people. The older staff very talkative & friendly. We did the gummy bear maze was fun & easy however; The Chicago Cubs was a challange for us, it was fun despite the pouring rain day we picked. It took our 8 year old son & us promising him 5 dollar to get us our of there & he did it! The farm was nice to feed the animals for and addition cost. We got all access pass and should of just paid for what we wanted. The train ride was being used for a birthday party so the kids missed out on that. We will definitely return next year for some more family fun! Can't wait to see what the maze will be!

I drove down from Chicago wanting to experience the fields of sunflowers and get some good donuts with cider. Instead I spent a couple of hours running from and swatting at bees. It was unbearable! I found it hard to enjoy any part of the experience while feeling under attack, especially with having my baby along. We attempted to walk through the apple fields but there were packs of bees swarming the smashed apples on the ground. I didn’t see any of the sunflowers partly because the bees were making me eager to leave. Also, I arrived early but it got crowded pretty quickly. Although the lines were extremely long I was able to purchase donuts and cider to bring home that were later described as dry by my husband. Being honest I’ve picked up better tasting cider from Whole Foods. On the plus side the staff was helpful and I enjoyed the food and fresh lemonade.

Went this weekend. WOWwas it crowded..I have never been there when it was this crowded. It was people upon people. You could hardly walk through the barn. The lines to get in, to ride the tractor, to get anything was exceptionally long. It was a crazy mad house. We use to go there when it was small and up and coming. Now it's just commercialized. Also, didn't have much choice of apples to pick

Great orchard with a lot of activities and apple varieties. You can also keep it simple and just do the UPick. We get the basic $1 arm bands (No maze, no animals). Trees get picked over of course, so you need to walk the aisles until you find apples. County Line has fantastic cider and donuts. The bakery rocks. It gets extremely crowded here but County Line and local police to a good job managing traffic in and out. Go early, have patience, get the donuts and cider!

Visited the barn for the first time today after hearing about this place for years! My husband's family visits yearly (several times a year, usually) and I was finally able to go this afternoon.
The barn is really a cute place with all sorts of little novelties. Their donuts are fabulous, with pumpkin being my personal favorite. I like that a lot of the goods are made in-house. Great selection of locally sourced honeys. Charming little windows line the wall where you can purchase pies, gelato, fudge, and lots of other goodies. The ciders are to die for, both plain and cherry apple.
I did not get a chance to venture outside to the orchard or see the attractions. And as others have said, the place does booming business, so if you're not a fan of massive crowds or hordes of screaming kids, I'd recommend visiting right when the doors open. The prices are a little steep on some items, but that is nothing unexpected. The quality is there on the things I've tried. Employees were really sweet as well.
I look forward to visiting again, but this time I'll come early to miss some of the crowd hopefully!response / report this review -

It's got a good amount of things to do and was pretty entertaining for the family. It's grown a lot in recent years. The petting zoo area was neat but you can't get too close to many of the animals. There is a large main building that is loud and busy, it seemed to make my 2 year old a little anxious. The donuts and cider from there are really good. It was a fun day and the "hay ride" was neat. Everything costs money to do though. Just seems like they made it bigger and wanted to get all kinds of little bits from you.

This is a gem in the Northwest. I will forever miss the donuts now that I am far away. The apple and the pumpkin spiced donuts are the reason why I gain weight in the fall. Amazing experience and amazing food!

Going to County Line is always a favorite fall activity! Delicious, fresh baked doughnuts, jams and butters, cider, and of course apple and pumpkin picking! Make sure you grab a jar of their queso dip, it's the best!

This used to be an awesome place to take kids in the fall. Great games, petting farm, fresh apples and donuts, decent restaurant, and excellent employees. Not so much anymore. A lot of stuff is rundown. The restaurant seems to be getting very relaxed on their food quality. The apples are picked clean even early in the year. And the store inside is just a bunch of stuff I can get at the local Jewel. Sad to see such a great place going down. Hopefully the owner will see this so my kids will get a place like this until they are older

Pumpkin donuts = the reason I live. A little bit pricey, but a ton of fun especially for kids. And if you're a bit of a kid like me. The little farm animal zoo is quite cute and something I always like to go to whenever I come here. By far the best part of the place is the shop inside of the barn though, so many delicious products you can only buy there during the on season. One note though, if you want to pick apples make sure you go as early in the season as possible as the trees get picked clean very quickly.

County Line Orchard is truly one of my Northwest Indiana destinations for the fall. The donuts are the best donuts I have ever had! All of their desserts are so good! The apple picking is awesome and then they sell pumpkins closer to Halloween. Lots of kid friendly activities, a shop that sells hand crafted items and a lot more. Definitely would recommend it to anyone looking for a great family activity or even for couples!
