Great location and incredibly convenient to the Vacationland area of Ohio - minutes from Port Clinton, Sandusky, Cedar Point, and the ferries to South Bass Island. The staff was courteous and friendly.

The room on the other hand does leave something to be desired. They are obviously in need of a little TLC, and, perhaps some updating. One suggestion: Families today tend to travel with a number of electronic devices ranging from cell phones, to tablets, to laptops. More than ONE usable outlet would have been a Godsend. One other outlet (near the door) had a lamp plugged into it and the plug barely remained plugged in. Trim was loose in areas of the room, a door handle was loose, the tub spot was loose, the escutcheon plate around the tub/shower handle was loose, and there were stains on the carpet.

It's okay. Beds are comfy and rooms are clean. No frills and small, screwed down tv's, but everything worked. The towels are great for exfoliating and there are plenty available in the room, so it doesn't matter that they are rather thin. Book it, you'll have a good night!

Checked in just about 330pm. We asked for a room on the first floor and they were happy to accommodate the request. Room was clean and smelled nice. Hotel was not noisy and didn't have any issues hearing from the neighbors around us. Beds were super comfy, pillows were even better. The room had a mini fridge and microwave standard. I figured out after a few hours after arriving and after my husband had left that I left my phone charger in the car. I called down to the lobby and asked if they had any extras and they brought one to my room right away. So nice! All in all, great stay, perfect for our needs, close to the lake and to lots of food options. Wouldn't hesitate to book here again!

My wife and I along with our two young children stayed two nights in a King Bed/Sleeper Sofa Suite and were very happy with our accommodations. Room was clean, staff is friendly and helpful, and rates were very reasonable. Would definitely stay here again.

The management was very friendly and accommodating. The room decor was nice and looked to be recently updated. The whole building has a fresh, clean scent. The only thing I can say is our room could've been cleaned a little better as we found some old plastic bottle on the floor that someone appeared to use as an ashtray. But overall I would choose to stay there again

The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. They need to get the thermostat for the public spaces checked, the lobby & breakfast room were nearly tropical in temperature.

Bed bugs! I stayed here two nights, March 24th and 25th, 2017, with my daughter and my father. My daughter slept in bed with me. The second night, I was awoken by a bug crawling on my pillow. Half awake, I brushed it off the bed and went back to sleep. The next morning, I went to the front desk and spoke with the General Manager, Shantal. She came to the room and checked the bed, said she saw nothing, then left to adjust our receipt. When she was gone, I noticed a bug carcass at the head of the bed. I snapped a photo with my phone to show her, but she returned with the new invoice so I pointed the bug out to her. She acknowledged it, apologized, and comped me $20 per night. Upon my return home, I noticed bites all over my four year old daughter and a few on myself. I pulled up the photo I took, Google searched "bed bugs," and sure enough, they looked exactly the same. I called the hotel and unknowingly spoke with the same woman, Shantal. She identified herself as the one who came to my room that morning, but now vehemently denied seeing any bugs, which was an outright lie. The room was supposedly checked several times upon my checkout and no bugs or signs of bugs were found. However, I encountered both dead and live bed bugs during my stay. She insisted that there were no bed bugs and that the hotel was not to blame for my situation. "There are no bed bugs in our hotel and if they're in your home, they didn't come from here," she told me. Neither myself nor anyone else in my home has stayed anywhere else recently, nor have we had any bites or signs of bugs of any kind in my home. Now, my daughter has fresh bites daily upon waking and I'm in the process of getting an estimate to have my entire home heat treated. There is no doubt in my mind that my daughter and I encountered bed bugs at this hotel and may have possibly brought them home. It's been two weeks since our stay and bites continue to appear on her. I found through research that bite marks may appear up to two weeks after the initial bite. I'm praying that that's the case, because the $70 she refunded me won't make a dent in the cost of treating an infestation in my home.

Great location and price. Very clean and helpful staff. Breakfast was good. Pool was cold.
