Way over priced, way over crowded, bathrooms were disgusting even after stopping the ranger and pointing out the human poo on the shower floor. Couldn't take the kids to stand on the spill way to see the water rushing out because of the drunk toothless homeless people snagging carp !
Horrible camping experience and WAY overrated at 1 star ! 👎😤
Pic is fossil gorge. Lots of fossils to find. COE Camping very nearby, good bargain for old fogies, especially with govt card. Five miles to stores or restaurants
Great campgrounds, with modern as well as primitive sites, beaches and nice trails. Corps of Engineers maintained.
We love camping there. It is quiet and we'll maintained.
There are no first-come-first-served sites out there they're all reserved only. What a huge mistake there should always be room for the people that don't know they're going to Camp six months in advance. How is he young family or someone without a lot of money supposed to know they want to camp six months or a year at a time period what a complete moist
I love the campground !! love all the trails beautiful place been camping there since I was a kid highly recommended
Grounds are nice, prices are good, bathrooms are clean. The three stars are due to caretaking staff. First and most important, 7:15 in the morning, staff decide it's the best time to whip out a leaf blower. For a park. In the woods. In early fall. Second, registry staff (not the Rangers, who are all very lovely) is rude. But if you don't mind being awakened by a ridiculous noise very early, and you can get over the initial impressions of registration, you'll be fine. Like I said, grounds are nice.
Really nice area. Nice beaches but not a lot of room to swim and the bathrooms were just awful.
Clean, but sites a little unlevel. A map of the campground would be nice as well. Great access to beach and reservoir. Large sites.
We stayed there 5/20-22 on our way to Yellowstone. The campsites were large and shaded. We stayed at the Dam West campground. Plan to stay on our return visit
