We came in a Friday around 11am and there was a line for the bus. We had to wait for about 15-20 minutes. The buses only hold about 12-14 people. The driver skipped the tour of golden because of the long line. The tour is nice because it is self guided and we went at our own pace. The highlight for me was seeing the packaging process. The fresh beer tasting was not open when. We went through. And the line to get free beer was so long!

For being a free tour, wow was it awesome. My beer of choice has been Coors Light and it's awesome to see how it's made and packaged. Tour is at your own pace, wife and I spent about an hour and a half there. They give you 3 free beers of your choice after the tour (those of age). Gift shop is right after that. They have a lot to choose from! I would recommend this to anyone visiting that area. Get there early as it's first come first serve style.

Pretty great for a free macro-brewery tour. Educational and historic. Get there early! We showed up at 9:45AM and it was already lining up. Self-pace, so don't expect a tour guide the whole time. Some might not like this format, but I enjoyed not being rushed from station to station. 3 free pours at the end. Bummed the fresh beer tasting halfway through was not happening, but overall a great time! Very friendly employees and bus drivers.

I visited on a weekend so most machines were not running and no workers were around. They shuttle you from the parking bus to the factory while the driver briefly introduce the small town. It's free entrance, self-paced with a multilingual audio guide that explains how beers are made and some history of the factory. You get up to 3 free beers at the end (bring your ID!), with non-alcoholic options available. Note that you can't bring a bag with you and they don't have lockers. If you arrive by taxi you need to rent a locker at a nearby store.

Parking is off-site and then about a five minute shuttle to the brewery. Self guided audio tour is a nice idea, because you can go at your own pace. Complimentary tasting at the end is definitely a plus. We tipped the bartender, who then informed us that it would go to a charity organization. The photo that was taken at the beginning of the tour turned out very funny (in a good way), so we ended up purchasing a copy. There was no charge for the tour or the tasting lounge.

Great insight to how beer is made. This was my second tour, which was guided in 2015, is now self paced with audio devices. Pros and cons to both that ends in three samples of beer at the end which is great!

Great place to try the classics. As others have said. Wildly long wait for the tour. Might be worth seeing if you can just go to the gift shop and tasting room. The tour is about the same as any other brewery just bigger. Fun if you have the time.

4 of us went: my husband loves beer, I don't like beer, and we took our 2 kids, ages 11 and 7. We all enjoyed it. My daughter was fascinated by the packaging area. My son by the malting process. I liked learning about the evolution of the company. My husband loved it all (especially the free samples).

I don't like coors but decided to go on the tour with some friends who do, it's free and I thought it would be fun and interesting. Waited in line for one an a half hours to get in and we got there at 10 am, know the shuttle only sits 14 people. It was a boring tour consisting of reading facts off the wall and listening to the history on a personal handheld speaker. You get three free samples at the end of the tour but I didn't take them up on their offer. I was hoping to on how beer is made but they don't show you that, I guess I'll have to watch it online.

I am making the world safe with NO Beer and NO Cigarettes in this world. This factory will be torn down and get replaced by a shopping center with an eyebrowed McDonald's building, a pavilioned Home Depot Building, a teacher supply store, and a whole sale grocery store. And I am also making safe Crayola products for kids under 3 years old such as the Kid's First Jumbo Washable Crayons and I am making a separate factory for the Crayola Kid's First products and this is a good place for me to open that new factory.

5 stars for free beer! Yes, you do have to wait in line (highly recommend going on a weekday to avoid large crowds) and the tour itself is quite dated and uninteresting but, free beer though. You are given a small tasting (2-3 oz.) about half way through the tour and at then end you get 3 glasses of beer. I wouldn't go very far out of your way to complete the tour, but it's the perfect event to tie into a day hike in the Golden area!

I never rate things, but this was a great experience that you should DEFINITELY DO if you go near Denver. It's free, interesting, fairly quick with the option to stay awhile in the lounge or gift shop, and the beer (3.5 free samples---good sized!) was fresh and tasted great! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and they have really cute photo opportunities with props and backgrounds. A definite Colorado MUST DO! I wasn't much of a Coors drinker before, but I am going to be now!

Very fun experience! I suggest you go during non-peak hours because the wait time can add up quite quickly. Otherwise, you get a fun audio tour and three free beers at the end.
