I honestly feel like this place doesn’t get enough credit. I had a good experience here. Yeah I had to wake up early and wait in line BUT if you preplan and make sure you have everything that you need for whatever service you’re requesting you’ll be fine. You can look online for a list of requirements needed for the service you’re requesting.

Arrived this morning before the doors even opened, stood in line for over an hour just to get inside and notice that numbers were not being called in my category. This branch has no respect for their customers as they are too busy socializing rather than providing assistance. This is my third trip for a simple registration. I am beyond disappointed!

I am very disappointed!!!! I waited for more than 3 hrs.standing,waiting for my number to be called. But I got nothing.Why they make things so hard? I'm applying for identification card and I have all the requirements. The lady in the customer service review my requirements and it was all good. More than 3 hrs of waiting the next lady who rechecked my requirements rejected me because she said my requirements is incomplete. So I don't know who's telling the truth. Some of the staff there,they don't know what they are talking about. What a waste of time!!

I can say they have improved. They have change the customer service a lot. Few years back it was really poor. But they are nicer now new people. I would suggest just to look online to check all that you need to bring so you come prepare and don't come for nothing. Do your research first.

This place is a JOKE!!!! Numbers are not being called! Very long lines! Workers are not calling numbers even if they are done with the last one! If you complain to them you are the one who’s going to be at fault! I was literally waiting the whole day for a piece of paper for $80! I have to call out from my work! And they don’t even care!!!

Skip it and go to Norwalk instead. Clean, AC, nice and professional staff.

At Bridgeport, I waited for hours in the sweltering heat only to be told the form wasn't filled out completely and I had to start all over again with a new number. I couldn't do that because I had to leave. Unfortunately the agent failed to return my license along with the unprocessed form he handed me. I realized my license was missing a few days later and called to see if they had it. I was told that if they had it, they'd mail it back to me that night or the next morning. I waited two weeks and no license. So I went to Norwalk DMV for a copy of my license, which took 1.5 hours and cost $30. When I got home I looked through the mail and there was a postcard from Bridgeport DMV saying that I had left behind my credentials. Ha! More like the agent didn't return my license and didn't bother to mail it back or notify me in a timely manner. Nice customer service. Not! Go straight to Norwalk.

I waited 5 1/2 hours for a driving MV report which took about 1 minute @ the window.. ridiculous they need a better system or open up small locations throughout the city for things that dont take so long. !!

Absolutely TERRIBLE dmv. I don't even think the employees know what they're doing. One will tell you, you have to do one thing and the other will tell you the complete opposite. If you have the chance to go to another dmv please save yourself the unnecessary trouble.

Honestly the most unorganized place i have ever walked into. Everybody has something stuck up their a$$ in that place! It's honestly horrifying to see how bad they treat everyone there. I never want to set foot in that place even if my life depended on it. I'd rather drive illegally for the rest of my life before i go and deal with any of them ever again. Should be closed down and restaffed. Also no parking avail what so ever.. it matches the bs thats going on inside! Sad.

I spent over 3.5 hours there waiting to register a car is this what the improvements look like? Unacceptable! I have watched and counted the time of a few people getting served, some spent up to a half hour to get their matters taken care of. Absolutely no reason for it to take that long. If you can't handle it within 5 minutes then you're doing something wrong. Oh yeah, almost forgot, the people with the little store they got inside the dmv need to watch their mouths and stop cursing so much. If you can't handle your job go do something else.

The only thing worse then the condescending, snarky attitudes of the workers here is their horrible, pathetic work ethic, at least in the afternoon. Expect a literal 3 and a half hour wait to have the displeasure of communicating with any of the apathetic Golgothans that "staff" this place for even an 8 second exchange to pay a fee. The morning shift is a bit quicker and a lot more prepared however, so if you have to go, be there early

It's a fact most reviews are written by negative customers rather than positive ones. It's the DMV, of course it be slow and chaotic. But I do have to say that when I was getting my permit and license that every question or concern I had was answered and I was grateful for their help. I can't believe people complain about the DMV in Bridgeport, all of Bridgeport is crazy.

I took my road test and the guy who was my instructor was a great guy and i was the lady test of the day and he took his time and once i passed i got my license in 30 min and left no problem its not about the city your in its about the people you get

BRING YOUR OWN PEN!
Long line on Thursday morning. I just wish they mailed your license instead of making you wait for the longest for them to print it. Staff was very helpful.
Was there a couple of minutes before they opened, was out in a little over 2 1/2 hours.
