CTSFW fails to produce ministers who are counter cultural.
The four insidious beliefs that have undermined the LCMS are:

1)The belief that feminist depictions of women’s nature and situations are true.
2) The belief that traditional male attitudes, especially those regarding sex, are inherently immoral.
3) The belief that what the world needs is more warm-fuzzies, not moral leadership.
4) The belief that approval from secular society is necessary or important.
It is number 4 that is the predominant characteristic of todays Lutheran churches.

Concerning Christianity, if you aren't being hated, then you aren't doing it correctly.
To be friends with the world is to declare yourself an enemy of God.

As adjudged by the LCMS pastors I have met, this place has failed miserably. The former dean, Mr. Wenthe, would solicit money so he could go on luxury cruises to Alaska. The LCMS has disintegrated into a religious country club that is way to receptive to church growth methods and feminism.

Complete scumbags wall to wall. Disgusting to think Christ's name is in anyway associated with these horrible people. The office of holy ministry is a joke thanks to this institution. Basically everyone lies by cooperating and graduating then teaching in their churches whatever keeps the lights on. Best thing that could've ever happen would have been this joke of an institution shut down and MDivs made available at the universities. With the jokes of lay ministry programs, SMP, as well as family life ministry programs being a pastor in the LCMS means absolutely nothing other than you failed miserably at life.
