i will never in life use this hospital again. I went there with infection in my back the dr said it was a skin rash .After 4 days of antibiotics it got worse. When to another emergency room it was a spider bit with a lot of infection in those dr dont give a daym about a patient all they care about is a $$$$$$$
By far the worst experience I've ever had at a hospital. My father went to their emergency room at 2pm per his Nephrologist's orders. He is a insulin dependent person. He was not able to eat until almost 8:45pm. He also has very high blood pressure and administered a Saline Bolus, which increase it more, by the way! So after all that's said and done, his nurse Christianna, stuck her hand in his bag and started grabbing his property. She did not ask if he was carrying medications, she did not ask to search through his bag. I'm unaware of the policy at Community East, but I'm sure you can't go searching people without consent. From the time he got there around 2pm until the time he left 9:15-9:30, he didn't see the doctor until he got irate w the nurse around 9:15pm. At the end of it all, he decided to leave and the doctors main concern was it being HIS fault and it's his decision to leave. They didn't give an option to change nurses to deescalate the situation. Two thumbs down for this hospital.
I just left this hospital with a blood pressure of 215/133 and was rushed to the back the doctor was amazing until I had a nurse Kerry come and walk in while my fiancé hands me a ice cube she instantly stated stop it or I will Take it from you to my fiancé ! So rude and vile . I instantly put my clothes back on and decided to leave . We get not having food but the previous nurse brought the cup of ice to us in the room. ! The ice machine was broken ! Horrible attitude and I would never go back again !!!! Horrible community east Er . And speaking with a staff up front they asked was there a IV in I stated No , so clearly what was the issue for a piece of ice for a woman who hasn't ate and on her period at the same time ???? They would rather me pass out and bill my insurance more !!!!
I can't complain. They have taken very good care of me through my cancer ordeal. They found my cancer on my first visit when the hospital I was going to missed it after complaining about my problems for three years. The doctors I see are very caring and informative. They constantly check on me. My PCP, GYN oncology, chemotherapy and radiation doctors are great. Seriously I can't complain.
Here for kidney stone, was taken very good care of, nurses, aids all very much willing to help
It depends where you visit in that hopital. I go to the eye clinic on floor 2. Staff is very caring and a joy to be around.
Horrible hospital. No one wants to take agency for their actions. They have no problem letting people die in their ER, but when it comes to tracking down a doctor to sign the death certificate, no one will do it. Cremations are delayed, families are screwed over on bills and what not.
Do not go here. They are all rude when you need to track someone down and everyone seems to be an incompetent idiot. Because even if you die at their facility, they will find ways to continue to make life hell for you. Or rather, anyone you care about.
Ive been through so much w my blood clots n my dr was on point very friendly n helpful to get me better.Thank u Dr.Bedano
The cafeteria in this hospital is pretty good. Minus one star for some of the staff needing empathy training, and minus one star for the time I was ignored for 3 hours after I had been admitted in the emergency room as I became more and more dehydrated.
The main hospital is great, especially labor and delivery. If you need emergency care, however, expect to literally wait 10 hours for them to tell you they don't know what to do for you even during an admitted crisis situation. Jake, one of the nurses, needs his license taken away and a lesson in bedside manner. The ER truly does not care about their patients. Go somewhere else.
A relative was transferred here from New Castle after being diagnosed with pneumonia and the flu. Upon arriving, we talked to the woman at the front desk by his room. None of the nurses seemed to know exactly what they were doing. His IV ran out and no one seemed to be too worried about that either. Not sure if it was just the people at that part of the hospital or what, but I'm very sure we won't be coming back.
The labor and delivery floor was amazing! Great nurses and doctors! Was traveling had problems and went there. Makes me wish I was I was having my baby there!!!! Thanks to the friendly nurses there!!!! Great great great experience on labor and delivery floor. Keep up the good work.
