I would not recommend staying at this establishment. Front desk staff did not code our keys and it was a drive back to front of establishment to be able to access the building.

A $50.00 hold was put on our credit card and not released until I made 3 phone calls. I was told I would have to call my bank because the hotel system could not release their own hold. I promised a bad review because of this issue and then called master card to block payment. Curiously, the hotel managed to have just released the funds. One does not need to subject oneself to a $50. hold if when forgotten about, could never be returned. Easy way to rip off customers. Fortunately not all choice hotels have this policy.

Staying here was a second choice as the Clarion was sold out. Upon our arrival, the person at the front desk didn't greet us, nor did he make any eye contact. It was as if he was being held against his will to be there. (Maybe he had a mental disorder that prevented him from being cordialin which case, I forgive him). He put us in the basement WITH THE DOGS, because he said it was the only rooms left. I made my reservation 4 days before arriving, so the policy of getting the rooms as they are available is laughable. Nevertheless we were tired, and accepted our fate. He gave us unclear directions, and since we didn't want to force communication with him any longer, we tried to find our way on our own. After a few minutes of being lost, this front desk person, who saw us lost, walked right by us. I flagged him down and was able to once again as if he was being against his free will, got us to our room.
When we got into our room, it had a faint smell of a barn. Again being tired (it was now midnight), we relented. The rug had a dirty feel to it as did the hallway rugs, which resulted in another "treat" we realized a week later. Being hungry we went out to search for a vending machine, to which there were only drink machines-no food. Hungry and tired we went to sleep. We were awaked at 6:00AM by incessantly whining and barking, from a dog who shared our disappointment, I'm guessing.
The breakfast in the am was mediocre- typical for a hotel that shuns their reserved guests to the basement with the dogs. The fitness room contained a few weights, a stationary bike, treadmill, and what appeared to go for an elliptical machine. The atmosphere was from the 1970's- enough said.
My kids enjoyed the pool, however, the amount of chlorine in it was frightening. I believe the pool is as old as the fitness room.
Here's the treatmy daughter contracted lice.

This is a renovated property with a comfortable feel. It's easy to get to and in a great location for some light shopping and dining. Plenty of places you can walk to.

I am not a fan of the layout with the stairs, it's not great with luggage. I usually secure my bags in my vehicle and take what I need.

Mexican restaurant attached is awesome and I would definitely say try it even if you don't stay st the hotel.

Nice rooms. Great staff. Good self serve breakfast options including waffles! Easy to access. Nice pool. Hallways were a bit musty or I would have given 5 stars.

This place as noted by others is a dump and should be condemned and the chain should shut this down! Visited here on a Saturday and was checking in and got to the room and decided to check out it was so bad. The place is old, run down and has stains all over the hall and room carpets. The outside has chipped paint and cracking walls and sidewalks. It sits in the middle of strip mall heaven and fast food hell with every type of store and food establishment within walking distance. Weird thing is there is a house of some sort attached to this dumpy hotel which looks like an old trailer. The pool area is run down and nasty with chipping edges and stuff floating in it. We were so disgusted we had to run out of this place. Do yourself and your family a favor, no matter how low budget you are staying, skip this nasty place and go to the Hampton Inn across the road. You will save yourself the headache of sleeping in a nasty pit.

Nice and clean establishment. Good location to a bunch of restuarants on Rt 6 and close to the highway. Seems like a competitive rate compared to others nearby and much under rates you would find in providence. Would recommend.

Not the worst place to stay if you're on a budget. Hotel restaurant is actually pretty good and frequented by locals; not your typical crummy hotel attachment.
