Barely a 1 Star. First of all they CHARGE for parking $12.00 a day. This is not a Hilton where they have a large parking structure. (They claim that the parking lot is owned by someone else) Full of crap the parking spot in right in front of your room, just like at a Motel 6. Second of all its a very OLD hotel that needs a MAJOR facelift. Third the breakfast staff is unfriendly, if you want to take breakfast back to your room they integrate you, asking why. My advise if FIND another hotel to stay even if you have to pay more.

This hotel, though one of the most affordable in the area, was decrepit and run-down. In our particular room (stayed 3 nights), the ironing board, iron, bedside table, and chair all were either broken or beaten up. The carpet was heavily stained and crusty. In addition, despite its online presence and marketing as Portofino, all signage was for Comfort Inn. There is very little "updating" or "renovating" that is toted to have taken place. My recommendation would be to pay a little more and stay somewhere else.

First off they changed the name but had No signs saying it was under new owner ship They for got to tell about the extra hold on your card which cost more than the room the night crew were rude and not accommodating in any shape form or fashion will never stay there again and would never recommend

I travel a lot because my job profile demands it, and have stayed at many hotels. Usually, I do not write reviews but there is something about Comfort Inn hotel that made my hectic journey to San Diego extremely relaxing. What made me happy is free breakfast each day and trust me it was delicious! Although, I was traveling on my office expenses but free food is always welcome. Apart from that, rooms and staff were also very helpful. Highly recommended!

I have visited San Diego many times but what made my last visit memorable was the special place I stayed in. Comfort Inn has truly lived up to its name and the hospitality has been more than what I had expected. It offers some of the most affordable packages you would find anywhere else. I could even get discounted tickets to Sea World, a place that we were really eager to visit as a family. Thumbs up from my side!!!!
