Intimate, romantic Italian. The food is very good, it shows the chef knows what he's doing. The wilted rose soup is one of my favorites. The chicken parmesan is to die for. Prices are not very bad, you could afford a nice date here on a budget.
Awesome Italian! Great food, Great service, plenty of Gluten Free options. We'll be back👍
Nice cozy Italian restaurant with good menu. Friendly owner on premises helping keep the place running. Good place for couples on date heading to a show at Miller Auditorium.
Very cute atmosphere. More authentic and around $13-16 per plate depending. We were seated right away. Food was yummy, we found ourselves looking over at other tables to see what people had. We ended up getting chicken fettuccine alfredo which was delicious, but contemplated getting the spaghetti and meat balls because the meat balls looked yummy. The free bread stick appetizers were nice too. The only set back we had was we had been sitting for about 15-20 minutes without anybody giving us water or asking us about beverages. Then to add to that a group that was seated after us was serviced before we were. A little irritating. I'm assuming the girl must have been new to the restaurant, young waitress with blonde highlights. It was a full house too. Over all good experience, wouldn't mind coming back.
It was our first experience here.. We've been curious about the place for some time. My fiance tried to order scallops and they were out mind you it was only 5pm. So instead he ordered shrimp and sausage with pasta. When our food came out the baked penne I ordered was cold and the cheese looked like it had sat for 20 min. The sauce was like tomato paste with artificial meat! His meal came out with shrimp and chicken when he told the server he wanted sausage not chicken she said no problem we'll bring out a side of it. 20 minutes later he got undercooked sausage! They don't serve garlic bread with your entree so we ordered an appetizer of garlic bread. Only comes with cheese but there was barely any cheese? and it was burnt! The server then returned and asked if we would like a box seeing how neither of us touched our food.. Nope wouldn't take it home if you paid me lol. Overall I do not recommend this place $60 for pasta I'd rather have a steak dinner!!! Only gave 1 star because I had to in order to make this review.
Comensoli’s is a fantastic, local choice for a nice meal right in downtown Kalamazoo. Their food is all made fresh unlike many chains and the Comensoli family is invested in local groups throughout the Kalamazoo community. Great food, great atmosphere, and great people!
I love visiting Comensoli's! The atmosphere fits every occasion. I've brought my family there - immediate and extended - every time the food is great and laughter is loud! You'll have to ask about their Symphony room! It's great for parties, or professional meetings. We held a seminar there, and it was a perfect spot! Would recommend Comensoli's to everyone.
The real deal. My wife and I have had dinner there numerous times and it's always excellent. Plus one daughter is gluten-sensitive and the other is vegan. There are even excellent choices for them.
To be completely honest, I was more impressed with the decor and ambience than I was with the service and the food. It took over 25 mins to get 2 orders of steamed mussels as an appetizer and about the same for entrees and even drinks. We had to ask for refills . There were 2 other tables and 2 waitresses. So they were not slammed. The food in my opinion was not tasty and it was dry. Chicken was undercooked and we had to send it back. For the Price I expected a lot better service and a lot better food.
Walked in on Valentines Day and was graciously placed at an open table. Service was a little slow because they were quite crowded but we did get excellent service with our drinks as they found every possible bottle/split of prosecco or champagne that they had in the building for us ! Food was a little slow in coming, too but was excellent. We had lasagna and chicken parmesan. Server was personable and efficient. I would recommend this place for a good Italian meal.
What a great place to eat. The owners gave up their seats for us because it was so busy. All the service was wonderfully personal. Wouldn't hesitate to come back. Chicken parmesan is fantastic.
Top quality, creative and delicious food. Excellent service. Cozy atmosphere, great for a romantic night out, or dinner with friends and family. Love it!
Very cozy dinner. Our server was fun going and created me a very yummy cocktail. I told her to make me something yummy and that is what she did!
Love this place. It's one of my favorite places to dine in Kalamazoo. Very quaint cozy bistro atmosphere, and great food. The customer service is always excellent, and owner is very personable and welcoming. I had a nice chat with him when I was sitting up at the bar one night having my dinner.
