I have lived in this community for 3 years. During those three years, the experience has not been terrible up until now. I did have trouble with noise from my upstairs neighbor in about year 2. She would let her large dog constantly run around the apartment. I told management about the noise. They did nothing. She recently moved to another unit so that problem eventually solved itself. However, I am giving this complex 2 stars because I have recently been seeing roaches. YES, ROACHES!!!!!! I have been to the front office numerous times. They continue to send pest control here but the problem is not resolved. To make matters even more extreme my neighbor is also seeing roaches. She knocked on my door to ask my boyfriend to come and kill it for her!!!! It is a problem that they are not taking serious. The front office staff is nice. Especially Lamont. He is very helpful. However, management has done nothing. I have been seeing roaches for about a month now. I don’t know of any recourse yet. But I am planning on having a conversation with my lawyer. I’m pretty sure roaches are inhabitable. I would say moved here but if you don’t enjoy roaches, don’t move. The living is great but they do nothing about bugs. NOTHING. also you will see little centipede looking bugs every day. Trust me.

I have lived at this community for just over 3 years. I have seen the staff change quite a bit over that time. I must say the current staff is my favorite and most helpful. They are also doing a lot of work on the property. They just painted my entire building and that started with power washing everything including my patio and breezeway. They also are extending the trash area. Over the years I have had some minor issues and maintenance has been super helpful. The head maintenance guy is really on top of it and very nice. One guy that came recently even left treats for my dog with a note! Very personable staff!

Seriously wish I could give 0 stars! Nothing but problems. Maintenance has come to fix one of the toilets THREE TIMES in less than 2 months and it still does not work properly. They gave a 2 day notice to come around to check the systems, I called the office to tell them they have to come another day as I have a pet that I could not put away at the time. Guy knocks on the door while I'm in the shower, my nephew is out in the living room, as I am getting out of the shower, my door opens and its maintenance barging in!! The following week I am in the kitchen, they knock once and before I even get to the door, they open it and close it immediately. I have had packages delivered to my front door, left outside, and stolen, the front office says they can't do anything. First month here I paid rent online, they charged me a non sufficient fund and late fee, I took my bank statement to the office to show them the funds are in the account, the lady blamed my bank and I still had to pay the extra money. There are these bugs, millipedes or centipedes that you will see every night crawling around, and by morning they are all over the walkway, dead and leaving blood spots everywhere. I pay these people for pest control, yet there have been two of these disgusting bugs in my apartment, twice this week. What am I paying you for? There is a trash fee, for what I don't know, I still take my own trash out and the one dumpster they have is always full. The staff has a nasty attitude, except for Brittany and Lamont, they're always kind. There's a new lady up there and she's always so bitter. Have a friend that was going to rent over here and changed her mind because whoever she spoke to via phone gave her a nasty attitude. I regret moving in here. They tell you to talk to them if you have a problem, but then don't do anything to help you. Its a beautiful property, but its overpriced and too much trouble.

I have been at this property for a few years. I can say that once new management has taken over, everything was different and much better. Work orders are more attentive and the office people are really nice and respond fast.

The customer service is terrible. The property manager, Nicole, is extremely difficult to deal with. If you ask permission to do anything, like any good resident would, you will be told no even if everyone else does it. Buildings are filthy, some renters are less than stellar human beings. I started carrying mace when I walked my dog after several incidents that made me fear for my safety. I had to call the police numerous times while living here. Cannot wait to get out of this place. Also, they turned away those seeking refuge from Hurricane Irma bc their trailer would take up 4 parking spots. Shameful display of empathy towards others in need. Do not live here.

I worked with Brittany who is fairly new to the office and she made my moving experience absolutely wonderful. She was very welcoming and she also was very friendly as well as professional while working with me. Moving can be a hassle sometime but she made every moment smooth and easy. This is my second year as a resident of CG @ BC and I must say I am very happy that I decided to remain a resident!. Thanks Brittany. You were AWESOME!!!!

We have been here 2 years, the first year was wonderful and office management was fantastic. Year 2, new management moves a family over me who kids runs all day,starting at 7am every morning. Don't bother addressing management because according to them they cannot do anything because they have no proof, so I simply invite the manager down to sit just for 5 minutes and she got a bit testy with me saying, "I've seen him , he's a littler boy" as to say she doesn't believe me. So I took the liberty of having all my guest who have been here on separate occasions to write a statement. Maintenance finally came to fix my washing machine and told me i have to get another and it will be a few days, to me this was unreasonable being that i waited over a week so they brought one from another unit and the mildew smell from it it disgusting, they also promised to fix the carpet strip left undone by the previous maintenance, that never happened. I can go on and on..Cannot wait to get out of here.

Cons:
•Awful incompetent staff
•Only one trash/recycle area so if it's not trash day there is trash literally flowing into the street •Way overpriced and they WILL jack the rent up each year (they say to match apartments around them, however this is not true), They charge this ridiculous 50$ MAA fee per month for basic cable with Time Warner EVEN if you don't want time warner
•There have been multiple times that I was told maintenance would be coming during the day so I would put my cat away just to find out they never came, then they would come on a day that we were never even expecting them to come.
•Make sure you track your packages because they don't put slips in your mailbox to notify you of their arrival.
•Didn't I mention awful staff? We moved out of our apartment early and they decided to take it upon themselves and come get the things we left inside even though our lease was not up yet (they say they didn't but we're sure they are just saying this so they don't get charged with theft. The reason we say this is because the things that were taken were not things a burglar would want, we think they just thought our lease was up and they were removing the stuff we left. They were all confused in the office about our move out date and we NEVER received the move out paperwork).
•Also be warned that they will clean the carpet and make it beautiful for when you move in but within 30 days old stains will start peaking through.
Pros: decent pool, good layout of apartment, nice landscaping

Stay Away from this place! ! ! Each year they will randomly increase your rent with no justification whatsoever. My rent has been increased by over $100! I went to their website and found my identical apartment listed for $100 cheaper! Don't bother talking to management, they are worthless, unprofessional, and rude. They didn't comprehend that my identical apartment is being sold for over $100 cheaper on their website. They intentionally raise your rent because they think you are too lazy to move out. Good luck with that tactic, and they can enjoy the empty apartment on their property because of their greed. I guarantee my current apartment will not sell for the amount they are trying to get me to release it for. It will be listed on their website for much cheaper.
Also, the maintenance crew will enter your apartment without giving any prior notice. If you are in the shower, they will knock and come right in. Stay away from MAA properties! There are newer, better managed, and nicer apartments in the area that are much cheaper.response / report this review -

The apartments have a great amount of space and the location is amazing. BUT the outside of the community is not kept up the best, the dumpster/recycling is always overflowing (needs to be picked up more often) and it's a major eye sore, especially since we pay a monthly fee for trashing. The staff is very nice and courteous, Kelin is amazing and Nicole has also been a pleasure to work with.
