I stopped here for a quick Saturday afternoon bite. It was awfully quiet with the exception of the rowdy bar crowd that came it later who I assume was a group of regulars there to watch the Lions. Moving on, I heard the cooks ringing the bell for when my food was done, but the waiter was too busy on the phone to get it. That didn't stop this crazy lady however from still mentioning how hot it was.
I stopped by Cobo Joe's a few times on my visit to Detroit. Went back because of the friendly staff and good food. Was the only parton on Devils Night, so barman Delroy and I sat talking about our upbringings in Jamaica and South Africa respectively.
We went for dinner while attending a convention. Our waitress was terrible. We sat ourselves because no-one greated us after several minutes standing in the entry way - there were 2 people at the bar and one other couple eating when we came in, so not busy at all. When the waitress took our order (we were a group of 4) we asked for 3 checks. She came back to let us know she was out of one of the sides we had ordered. After changing our order once, she came back a second time and said they were out of the meat that 3 of the 4 people in my group ordered, so we all changed our order again. When the food came out every single order was wrong, including the one that never changed. I ordered a pretzel club (my order never changed: it was turkey, ham, lettuce, tomato, bacon and swiss on a pretzel bun) I asked for no tomato. I had the wrong bun, no lettuce or bacon and when I said there was missing topping the waitress looked at me like I was stupid and asked if I wanted them. The sandwich was also ice cold. The rest of the food was mediocre and when we asked for the bills she asked if we wanted 1 bill. We asked if we could have 3, and pointed to who would be on which bills. Then she had to clarify who got what food item, overcharged my husband and I, but at that point we just paid the bill and left. Also during dinner, I assume the manager or owner came to talk to us about how great this place is and how good the barbeque is. We were like yeah, except your out of everything we tried to order you just suggested. He had no idea what he was out of and explained they were really busy at lunch. Which is fine, but dont advertise food you're out of. I don't recommend. Waste of time and money.
Poor service and food quality. Lake of food regulation standards. Was sick to the point of having to take the next day off work. I would recommend avoiding this establishment. There are better places to ear less than a block away.
Good food. Great lunch specials. Service semi fast. Servers are friendly.
Great friendly service and very good drinks at a reasonable price
Good food and fair prices. A bit crowded in there usually.
My wife and I stopped here before the Wings game on Saturday, April 1st. It was busy but they found us a table within 10 minutes. Ordered the chicken tenders and potatoe skins, both were excellent. The service was great and the price is always reasonable. Great place to go before an event!
Good place for a coctail but they closed very early on a Saturday at 2pm
Had lunch at Cobo Joe's last week. The staff is friendly and social. Food & drink were excellent. I will be stopping in before the next Red Wings game I attend. I will definitely be back for lunch as well. Good value
The owner Richard greeted us at the door and was extremely friendly! I had the 1/2 chicken dinner and it was AMAZING! Their cornbread and baked beans that came with it were also awesome! It's something that may not look like you should stop from the outside, we were recommended this place from a local, and it was a great choice! The owner came back around to make sure we liked everything, overall great experience!
